i grew up with seasons 1 and 2 being shown to me as movies. is it necessary to watch the full season or is the nickalodian movie good enough. idk

Marinette has nearly been akumatized three times in the series but every time she manages to get out of it and I think I know why it's because she's the main character of the show sure main characters do sometimes turn evil but apparently marinette's plot armor is so thick that not even Hawk moth can cut through it

Sorry (not), I don't like what they did to Aisha and Darcy. These two are in my eyes wise women and here she seems BAD Aisha's charm lies in her beauty, temperament, presence and her feminine but 🤔 practical clothing style. Darcy, even if she is a witch, is one of the most beautiful (why would Riven have had a crush if not lol); normally, she has that thing that enchants you. A bit like Morticia Adams. But here, even if they rejuvenate them, something is missing. One thing that shows me that in the seasons it will be is 🤔 THAS GIRLS

I agree with pretty much everything you said! Me and my bestie grew up on Winx and are very particular about the show 🙈 Maybe too particular? But I do think some of the points are relevant. I am very iffy about the 3D animation. 3D can look incredible like Arcane when the artists are given the room to work and the budget to add those details that ultimately make or break the execution. And to me this looks more like a mobile game ad than fully fleshed out show. Not to say that the original was perfect either but you can do so much with colors, composition and clever story boarding. Not to mention the music like you mentioned. The fight scene at the beginning looks dreadful. The environment looks empty and straight from Sims3. The colors are way too warm and sweet for a scene that suppose to evoke fear in you. And all of that is happening in a middle of a street, at least they were in the forest in season 1. The composition is weird and I don't know where to direct my eyes to (I feel like the ground takes too much room in some shots and the trees look tiny). The orc running towards Bloom looks goofy cuz the angle of the hill is weird. Stella should have a staff, absolutely. That wand looks like a toy and doesn't give authoritative or royal vibes at all. I actually do not hate the outfits or character models too much desides them looking a bit cheap. But they are very stiff in the face, way too doll-like. Don't really evoke too many feelings. The iconic Winx bit at the end looks so stiff compared to the original. The hand position as well as the Mona Lisa smile and empty eyes don't do it for me when the original was so cheery and care free. I am also a bit worried about Aisha. Seasons 1-3 are when the series peaked and any character that is given love and TIME to develop on screen is bound to be more fleshed out. And I am afraid that Aisha will not get that treatment in this reboot so she may fade into the background (especially since she does not have a neat role to fit into for season 1 obviously) or her story will just be way less interesting.

Bloom is getting Roxy Plot and Aisha is getting no plot ..? It seems like Bloom, Stella and Flora are main character like they were most of the time with dolls it´s always the trio.(no hate my fav is one of them xD) and Musa, Tecna and now Aisha are just there o.o Also in the first Episode everyone is new to Alfea (exept stella she has to do the year again xD) so why would they sent first graders to look for a fairy on earth? Feel like it will not be as good as the original not even close x_x

Honestly speaking from a viewer's perspective, It was obviously the wrong choice and it's intentionally the wrong choice. The writers are obviously setting this up to backfire on Marinette. I'm sure Adrien will get to know the truth soon and get the apology he deserves, but what I'm more worried about is actually how the fandom will treat Marinette after. She's already so overhated(undeservingly) I saw just here at the comments but I don't see people liking her a perfect character nor will they apperciate how flawed she actually is. I'm just gonna point this out though, but Marinette IS the main character. While Adrien gets a proper screentime and focus, it doesn't make sense to be disappointed if the show moves it's story through Marinette. And young girls needs their female superhero that saves the day. This show might not be perfect, but It's a huge testament how this is the one of the very very few ssuperhero eries for girls while thousands and thousands were made for boys. Marinette SHOULD be the superhero that saves everyone in the end. And personality wise, it will always makes sense considering her intelligence and leadership. And i will always stand by that, it's called miracolous ladybug for a reason. Going back to this though, while I don't agree with her decisions, I appreciate it from a writer's perspective too. Yes, she is the always the one saving the day, she is the one who always learns devastating truths, she's the one who chooses what other heroes can learn, she's the one who has to make hard decisions. Responsibility is a heavy burden and while Cat Noir is her partner hero, she is the one who carries world on her shoulders. And the fact is, she's just a child. She was a child going up against a grown ass adult. I don't think any other character in her position could've done something better or even had an easier choice. Marinette herself has gone through many traumatic events that are unaddressed cause she either can't share it or it's becasuse she's done something wrong so instead of focusing on her own feelings and how it affected her mental state, she's simply gonna keep thinking about the decisions she's made. With that one scene we obviously where she ranks herself in importance when it comes to priority. I don't agree with sacrifices but in the end Mari IS the kind of person to put her whole life for the people she cares about. In the end, I think it's been well established and I personally also feel that she made the wrong decision, but I don't think I can ever blame her for it knowing what's she gone through and will continue to go through. I'm just glad Natalie's alive

Aisha is there because the girls know each other and they meet Bloom. Also Roxy will become the 7th member again, so she’s the one who’s gonna come later.

Okay, but the problem that bugs (haha) me most is that the wish made the world better? Seemingly? And now all we're left to wonder is why such a big deal of it was made in the first place. There needed to be worse consequences for Gabriel. He got a good ending. He succeeded. The ending meant that Marinette lost. Why are we not considering this? Hawkmoth wasn't defeated and now it renders struggle from before it as pointless.

I am just fazed that adult creators are creating such low effort models and style..... It takes a bit of research and maybe they should hire a stylist that's. IDK it gives low effort. I swear, if they have that lame group transformation pose "Magic Winx! SOMETHING-IX!" mandatory in every single transformation sequence, then they might as well stop this reboot. Well, at least their midsections aren't smaller than their faces and wide enough to house a spine. Stella's lollipop scepter is absolutely blasphemous. I'll tell you what they'll do with Aisha's development, they'll just give it to Bloom. You can see the vibes from the trailer, they're all acting like Bloom's coaches, and Bloom becomes an even heavier character to work with now because they have a pre-formed group already it seems, and she has to fit in with both the group and in the magical world while discovering her past. On top of that it looks like they were sent to pick up Bloom for Alfea, or at least Stella and Flora were, which makes this seem even more contrived.

But I like how Bloom's flared locks were executed in 3d, her hair looks better than it did in the animated series, where it looked like the Great Dragon's barbels (it had some hair on the side, it's never drawn in enough detail, but I feel like flame or dragon-hints are what they wanted to do with Bloom's hair originally) My main thought to add is I like Stella looking more like an Elsa clone physically, at 12:36, I think fair skin is an allusion to her power of the moon, which was barely there in the original, and I like that she chooses to wear cream colors. What I don't like is how much her new "Charmix" form seems like a rehash of Mythix. The wings of all of them look like Mythix/Onyrix mashups.

If they insist upon continuing production of the Winx stories, I personally believe they should come up with a new, original story set in the same universe. Ideally it would be an unrelated cast but even if they knew the originals, it's better than repetition. There's no need for them to remake or rehash the source material.

6:11 It defnitely calls into question the Trix too. They should know as well, but maybe both sides were trying to find her and they're downplaying the scepter role in this season, which why? Also, Stella was the first fairy Bloom met, she introduced her to the world, to the girls, in this season we didn't see Bloom hanging out with friends on Earth just MItzy (even in the soft reboot it was just her and Serena) so was also a friend with a silly, honest and fab personality and now.....she's not. ;-; It's her and Flora and they couldn't take down a (I'm guessing) Trix minion on their own. It's giving the part of the reboots that had the girls unable to do anything without Bloom again. Stella in the original was holding her own until the minions ganged up on her and, with Bloom's help, they were distracted long enough for her to continue the fight with Knut while being low on magic. Slight tangent here, but this may be because my other tabs on my computer are occupied with 3D animated shows like The Legend of Yang Chen and Legend of Xianwu, but I feel like 3D has become what 2D used to be for a lot of people. I've watched a lot of critics talk about how 2D was something new, more expensive, more labor intense that it wasn't done and, if it was, it was seen as something more aimed at kids and adults were not the biggest fan.

I'm just gonna call it: Disney's Tangled kinda killed creativity in character designs as we know them. Frozen being a solid rock on top of that tombstone. Seems like everyone is trying to emulate that style and it makes so many things after it took so generic. Yes, the designs of the teens in the original 2D Winx were repetitive, a template that felt a little exhausted within its own universe, but they were still very distinctively Winx. The first Winx Club movie really nailed their designs, I think, they really made it work in 3D animation. Now it's just the rise of the tangled brave frozen dragons version of Winx (fellow Tumblr residents will know).

I genuinely hate that there is so much pink in all of there outfits, getting rid of the individualistic colour schemes they had…pink is a good colour but not all of them need it and I was watching an another winx review and a lot of people were talking about how Stella looks like a banana cause she’s in wayyy to much yellow which is not her thing 😂 also I wish they’d bring back her tan. And why does Aisha’s outfit look so plain compared to everyone else’s fits… is that just me? The cutouts are nice but everyone else has way more going on

i think i am dissapointed with girls' looks especially stella does not look like her, also the transformation are not giving I was so excited to see what they were gonna come up with, og transformations were illustrating their personality and auras more, their magic winx transformations were pretty simple and they were almost everyone's favorite

the fairy forms are so disappointing. the 2021 reboot concepts were PERFECT and they completely scrapped it. I don't understand how you can make it this bad (especially Stella's wings... like i'm actually baffled). If stella's wings didn't exist, i would of tolerated these designs, but it was the nail in the coffin for me. Flora's wings should be green too? I'm not saying they aren't allowed to try something new, but green wings was a subtle nod to her nature powers because they represented leaves, while her dress was the rose/flower. It was a more creative design. Dumping a bunch of pink flowers everywhere isn't as creative

I think Sabrina's redemption was well written. It wasn't Chole's alliance woth Lila that created the rift. When Chole tells Adiren how she views people as objectives Sabraina gives Chile a Dirty look. When Lila and Chole order Sabrina to doctor their classmates forms, Sabrina finally decides she's had enough.
