I loved Herb’s and Sergio’s music and still do! Saw Herb and Lani in Nashua, NH in May ‘24 and they were awesome!! Can’t get Cabaret out of my head - and don’t want to. Takes me right back to 1968 sounds like it’s today. Brilliant & timeless, Herb!! ❤️👍

I grew up listening to this music. My mom loved Herb Alpert and had several of his albums. One of my greatest pleasures in life was to be able to take her to see him in concert before she passed away. And it was one of the best concerts I'd ever been to. The man is an amazing musician.

Don't recall exact years but, in the 60's, was just a little boy in primary school, first heard his music on AM radio. Loving it ever since. Incidentally, this is the very first time I saw his stage performance. Thanks. It's not too late to see him even here on the net.

I have always been a fan of Herb Alpert & the TJB from their early days through today. Years ago they did a television special that was extraordinary. More recently Herb appeared as the guest musician with the Roots on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. I recognized him immediately. He fit right in. Such immortal talent will never be duplicated.

Herb Alpert. My reverence for him and his lifetime of work is not matched for any other musician. Herb is the epitome of excellence. He has inspired my own music ambitions now for over 50+ years. This video is GREAT and incredibly fun to watch. So many memories for us old enough to have been alive in the 1960s when "The Tijuana Brass" was the definition of cool.

I agree. My sister had all his records beginning in the early 60's and I became a fan around '69. Just got Spotify and downloaded all of his studio albums. What a pleasure it is to hear this great music again, in high def. Next I'm going to download the Baja Marimba Band and some Sergio Mendez, two other favorites of my sister back in the day. My Dad wouldn't let us play rock n' roll(I had to hide my copy of 'Meet The Beatles') until I started high school, and I finally wore him down :-) But I'm glad, in a way. I was introduced to a lot of cool music in the 60's. Two other favorites were and are, Henry Mancini and Al Hirt.

but remember, Hal Blaine played drums on A taste Of Honey and created the legendary pause at the beginning of the song. Let's also not forget the MANY other legends of 60's , Brian Wilson, for one, The Beatles, Four Seasons , Smokey Robinson and others that created a soundtrack that can NEVER be replaced.

In the beginning, I was a big fan of Herb and his gang while in high school in the 60's. Although, this particular recording was done in 1997, it is still as fresh today as it always was. My, it is humbling to hear my trumpet playing hero Herb Alpert! It was 1964 and I was a ten-year-old kid. I heard that magical trumpet sound of Herb Alpert and the TJB. I knew then I wanted to be a trumpet player! Here I am 54 years later still playing the trumpet that I love so much! Thank you Herb for inspiring so many trumpet players across the world!

I saw Herb Alpert and Lani Hall in Philadelphia in the spring and I agree - what a show. In an intimate setting it was one of the best I've ever seen and playing their CD is just the best. I loved Herb Alpert and the TJB from when I was a young kid and my dad bought the Tijuana Taxi "album." What wonderful humanitarians and keepers of the arts.

I wish he'd do this again. Come back to Maryland Herb. We were there!!! A lot of us baby boomers grew up to our parents listening to this stuff and we liked it too and still do. Look at how much fun those guys have playing it. Look up a group in Australia who plays this stuff at as club there. There are a few videos online here from them. They nail it pretty good.

Wow, at 15 yrs old I saw Herb in 1968 or 1969 at the Philadelphia Convention Hall. It was sold out. My dad and I sat in the balcony to the left of the stage. He inspired me to study trumpet, love it and still play to this day. This video brought a tear to my eye. Ole Herb Ole!

I remember some of these songs being played as soundtracks of radio sports programs in my hometown, when I was a kid... this guy is a genius!

I remember HA and the Tijuana Brass playing out of my dad's hifi. Our Grandpa played the horn and he was a HUGE fan of Herb Alpert.

Grandisimo Herb, muy pocos gringos entienden y distinguen entre ritmos y generos latinos, la mayoría aun con formación musical se confunden y hablan de cosas que no existen, Alpert sin duda sabe que lo que hace, lo admiro en gran medida.

Saw Herb and TJB with my dad 1968 when I was 15 at the Bayfront Center in St. Pete. 'Going Places" was and is one of my all time favorite albums!
