And the original show too. So damn cheap. $1,000 for a starting bonus jackpot. In theory a player could be playing for LESS than they won in the front part of the show. Making the colored squares adding money to the jackpot stunk too.

After seeing these Alpha and Omega episodes of Scrabble 93, here are my thoughts: These shows are way f'n better than daytime TV should have been at the time! WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY GET THE PROPER RESPECT? -_-

The only beef I had with the reboot was the bonus letter cash going into the jackpot. I liked it when even the loser got some cash.

@@aaronmorris1513 Agreed. I liked the Chuck Bucks, and rolling it into the jackpot made it less exciting, because it was won less often. I wonder if the 1993 show had a much smaller prize budget, and that's why they did it that way.

Shame that the cube didn't properly function when the revivial made it to air.

A lot of mechanical problems in this first episode. The cube didn’t move at all, no cover doors on the screen, and the tiles were stuck in position.

I take it that you weren’t paying attention. George is the returning champion from the final episode of the previous run of the series. Tbh I don’t know about Deb.
