Hi can you assist with understanding the rising wedge. When i look at it, it looks like its is higher highs and higher lows, i thought that was the definition of an uptrend. Why is it bearish? thanks

right on, glad you got it Raul. You are right in that it is just an uptrend, but the defining element of the rising wedge is that the higher highs are not seeing follow through, showing bullish exhaustion.

Joey when you say you are looking for a higher low on the hourly to enter on the 5 min chart, do you wait for that hourly candle to actually close? Like what if the inverse head and shoulders pattern forms on the 5 min chart in the middle of that hourly candle that looks like it’s going to indeed be a higher low but the candle is still in the process of forming?

No, we do not wait for the close, the 5 min trend change confirming is the first indication the hourly higher low is being set. There are a number of ways to play a 5 min inv. head and shoulders, depending on if you are aggressive or conservative.
