My grandmother had that exact nativity set. Hers was painted but still beautiful. When my cousin was little he was worried that baby Jesus would be cold so my grandmother crocheted a little blanket for baby Jesus. Baby Jesus had a blanked from then on. Thank you for bringing back a memory of Christmas growing up.

It’s given me Christmas spirit and enough energy and desire to actually treat Christmas like I would have any other year. I cooked myself a feast (will seriously last a week 🤣), I played a long Lucia Choir on tv, enjoyed some Swedish Glögg (mulled wine), and spent the whole day walking around in my Christmas pajamas and woolly socks!

I recognize that nativity set. When I was a teenager, my mother ran a ceramic studio in Savannah, Ga and we had the molds for that. It is slip casted. I actually still have the same one that I made in the 70’s, but painted in different colors. The white is beautiful! Merry Christmas. Everything is gorgeous.

Judging her publicly for not giving to the "right charity" of your choice is mean-spirited. She gives every month to charities. Not everyone can say the same, can they? I don't understand why some people feel the need to publicly shame a person for their good fortune. We don't know what is in her heart or what good deeds she does behind the scenes. Here I am in my air-conditioned room (live in North Queensland Australia) watching all this beautiful food on an incredible table and then it cuts back to people living in poverty.. Is it really just the roll of the dice where you were born as to how your life will play out. It was so nice to spend Christmas Eve with the Lalande family. I am on my own this Christmas and it really put me in the spirit.
