The two circles look better either sides of the other African artefact. The balance is perfect. The flowers give a feeling of clutter in an otherwise perfect esthetic display. Plus, the two circles are too close to each others to really appreciate the art of their making. Stephanie is right :)

It’s to busy with both together and the mbalance being wildly offset on how the circles might compliment each others . Just to much if you’re looking for minimal. All that being said. And another great visit! I would like to add my totally unwanted two cents to the semi-debate about the arrangement of the beaded necklace and the new blue circlet on the credenza at Percy and Isabelle's beach house, though. Philip certainly has a wonderful eye for grouping pieces, and setting the tables and so on but I think, in this particular instance, the way Stephanie had it at first, with the two colourful circles on either side, was the right way to go. The simplicity and colour of each piece had it's own space to be displayed and admired in, and I didn't think the disparity in size was an issue at all. The round shapes echoed each other, as did the fact that they were colourful beaded pieces, and that was all that was needed for them to shine

It's so nice to see Isabelle and Percy again. I've really missed their presence at Lalande. Percy seems to be rebounding well. South Africa's healthcare has been good for Isabelle and Percy. Isabelle had vision restored in one eye and Percy was diagnosed and treated for a rare form of tuberculosis. What a blessing. I'm so thankful that Stephanie turned us on to Ardmore Design. Their work is magical. The table cloths are so beautiful. I really don't know how they were able to choose. I love the tortoise shell wallpaper too. I'm glad Antoine scored Ardmore approvingly. I don't know how anyone could walk away from the place unimpressed. I'm glad we didn't have to wait to see the new tablecloth in place. I didn't hate the flowers in the vase on the credenza, but I didn't love them either. The piece in the middle moved to the left and the beaded collars paired on the right would be a nice grouping of three. The eye travels from left to right, thus the placement of the larger piece to the left of the rings. I'm anxious to see how Marie, Amaury and Natty have fared on their own. Bon nuit! Stephanie, your Mom is a treasure! I knew I liked her! She is a horsewoman! The glee in her voice relating the stall incident. Stephanie being in or around a stall with a 1200 pound animal can be dangerous! Nothing wrong with being careful! Loved the monkey happy he got his sugar! All the comments mentioned pottery, vistas, landscape; but no horses! The horses at Ardmore were grand! Your Mom has a keen eye for horses! The Grey your Mom was holding reminded me so much of my sister Sandy's rescued Hunter-Jumper, Jenny of long ago. I was allergic to horse hair and their dander but that didn't stop me from thirty years of loving and owning grand steeds! Thank you, for taking us along on this SA adventure!

Sorry to differ... but there is very little "poor" about a teenager who gets to go globe-trotting & ON SAFARI ...even if it is only with adults. I got impatient with my parents when I was a teenager when we traveled... but now I treasure every moment of traveling with them in Europe, Asia, Australia & the Americas. I sadly didn't get to the continent of Africa (or Antarctica) ... so I am thoroughly enjoying this!!!

My Father had a spirited Morgan mare that absolutely hated to be ridden. She did everything possible to knock him off including running under low branches, rolling over with him on saddle & stopping suddenly at a full gallop. She was the most beautiful horse yet cantankerous & spirited. ❤️🙏

I was so glad to see you have lights that come on automatically when the power is shut off. Even if they don't stay on for long it least you are not plunged immediately into darkness and have some light if you decide to stay up later and light some candles. Yes the single one with the warm tones was much more pleasant than the other two that looked cold and less inviting but do the job fine for the mean time.
