Put your sentiments somewhere safe and bring them out to reflect on just like you would an item from your jewellery box, take your own time to reminisce and then put them back in their special place when your ready. Marie deserves to have a portable air conditioner in the kitchen. They draw the room's hot air in and come with a window kit so you can run the large tube that is attached to the back of the unit, that blows the hot air out the window. It has a compressor in it that cools the air and blows it into the room. They work extremely well as long as it is about 12,000 BTU. It would be necessary to keep doors closed and put a heavy curtain in any openings to the hallway that have no door. Why not, right? Easy to do.

Having tackled memorabilia three times, I Googled how to clean out personal things. I found a site that was very helpful. The advice given was leave the project in one place and tackle it only half an hour a day. I used the guest bed covered with a sheet. I began emptying shoe boxes etc. and began the sorting process. I used envelopes which I labeled for categories, a paper bag for throwing out or burning. One day I was so enthusiastic I worked longer and got so emotional I put everything in a storage chest. It does make one ill spending too much time thinking about our past, losses, and youth gone.

I am a private chef in California where temperatures can make you miserable. I have portable fans to circulate the air along with a central air-conditioning system. My Daddy has been gone since 1999. He was only 67. I have a bracelet my girls had done for me that says Love You Dad! It’s his handwriting from something he had written to my mom and us. So glad I had hung onto it. Keep the memorabilia! It is now part of LaLande. Someone else suggested an attic room as a little museum of your father’s things. A good place to have all the archives on display and organized and stored. Would be wonderful for the guests as well as for you guys and future owners to have all that in one place. Phillip would be really good at organizing that. That sweet picture of Amaury as a child was precious. You could see his sweet soul already shinning through. I bet Natti went bonkers over that! 🥰

Time for me to comment since I’m a devotee from the very first episode. I am an American who grew up near Mâcon and played for hours at my best friend’s parents’ château de St. Albain. You take me back to my wonderful childhood and make me homesick for France, but in a good way. I have to say I love your regional accent while speaking French. It reminds me of Francis Cabral-one of my favorite French singers. As for your sorting and clearing remember what they say: “petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid”. A little at time will eventually get it done. Take time to heal. And just maybe one of these years I will be able to visit your beautiful Lalande.

Any paperwork you're undecided on, that doesn't need to be kept as physical copies, scan it, then you still have it to look back on without it collecting dust in a box

You know that dust that’s up in the attic might be triggering your sinuses and making you not feel good, I even get a low-grade temperature with my allergies when they get bad. After my mom passed we live in a gated community that only has a garage sale two times a year and because I was paying two house payments after my mom passed we needed to be a part of that garage sale very quickly we had to get it emptied within 10 days so it didn’t leave me to have to sort through all of my mom and dad’s stuff as much because I had to go through it so quickly and now I’m glad I did.

Aw your father and the love you have for him ❤❤❤ melted my heart. I was raised by a single father and no mother and he is the best. Love your walks and the trees and moss and dragonflies, paired with the music , just so beautiful 😊🎉
