I've been rewatching this every couple days. Low elo player that stumbled into the scotch - it just resulted in games I liked. I tried watching some videos, but wasn't learning anything. Bought a book, still wasn't getting anywhere. Yours is the first where I'm actually starting to get principles.

thanks soloman!! for taking my recomendation ..... there is another hybrid line in scotch called goring gambit ... its similar to that of danish gambit where after d4 exd4 we play c3 , bc4 and bxb2 ... and also another line in philidor deffence called birds gambit .. hopefully you cover it next .. its soo venomous

Generally similar positions can be reached with (dare I say) better move orders. For example 3...exd4 4.Bc4 Bb4 5.c3 dxc3 6.0-0 cxb2. Same structure, but ur king is castled and black bishop is a non threat. Or even just danish gambit gives you the same structure but without the black knight on c6. Now, I'm not here to tell you to change opening repertoire, I'm sure goring gambit has some advantages (namely consistency and less lines to remember) but in my experience it's easier to dull the attack with goring gambit move order. (trust me, I've tried, I'm a scotch gambit maniac).

Can you elaborate more on that bird’s gambit? I play the Philidor against e4 EVERY SINGLE GAME and have never heard of Birds gambit! I’d love to learn a lil more.

@@dylanandrejic4902 sure bro..!! so the line im telling generally goes as 1.E4 E5 2. NF3 D6 , 3.D4 ExD4... here there are 2 different gambits for white, 1. morphy gambit .... goes as 4. BC4 .... attempting to get quick devolepment .,... it similar to that of scotch gambit... 2. bird's gambit goes : 4.C3 DxC3 5. EITHER NxC3 OR YOU CAN GO SUPER GAMBIT BY PLAYING BC4 CxB2 AND BxB2

Hey! Thanks for this comment and the great recommendations. I'm looking forward to making a Goring Gambit video and I honestly hadn't heard of the Bird's Gambit but I just did and wow! It's like an improved Danish Gambit because usually back responds to the Danish Gambit with cxd4 and an immediate d5. However, black has already played d6 and the difference is that we have that knight on f3. There are a lot of ideas that black can't go to when playing the Bird's Gambit opposed to the Danish, although both are very similar for white. I look forward to making a video on this as well! 9:39 part after blacks Be3 when you said White has an intermediate move of Ne7 attacking the Queen what if black play Qg2?

right. clearly the white kings rook has to move to f1 if the black queen takes the g2 pawn. but it looks very risky then for white.

I absolutely love this opening. This is actually the first one I have ever learnt when playing online chess, I saw people play that against me and really liked the open lines, so I begun playing it myself and analyzing every game with computer. Now, that I'm learning theory, I have swapped to scotch gambit and some transpositions with the danish gambit, but really it's all just to reach the nakhmanson double piece sack and crush people. Great vid, would love a scotch game saga. As well as pirc saga, really you leave us hanging here.

this opening is a great choice for beginners and advanced players, it's solid, attacking, and very sourceful, I hope u focus more on the the aggressive lines of it like Napoleon gambit, and Scottish gambit with full repertoire... once again thank you

100%! It's a great opening for white that works at all levels of play and gives white good chances to fight for the win. I have heard of the Napoleon Attack which is 1. e4 e5 2. Qf3, but what is the Napoleon Gambit? Sounds super interesting!

Bc4 you're down a pawn but the engine says it's equal ( and some engines claim that white is better despite being down a pawn) the main point is you will be castling the very next move and the opponent haven't develop none of his pieces. it's really good opening for attacking active players only downside is if black moved d5, which is still equal according to stockfish!
