Hi Danya. One of the most entertaining and digestable chess content. You make it look easy :-) Any chance you could touch on calculation subject in the nearest future? I think vast majority of players struggle with this most important aspect of chess. It doesn't matter what your middlegame or endgame knowledge is if you lose every game by a simple miscalculation. I'm blown away by GMs when they close their eyes, look away and they can keep track of every detail in the position. How do you acquire this skill? Can it even be trained?

One thing I would love that I feel like would be similar to what you mentioned about recapping the lives of historical great players: When I watch you commentate games for super GMs I feel like they all get the same kinds of (deserved) praise: "X is so good at these tricky endgames", "X is so resilient", and so on. I would love if you could give like a rundown on the current top 10 or 20 players and what their relative strengths, weaknesses, and specialties are, with a focus on how they differ from one another. How is So's playstile different from Giri's or Naka's or Nepo's? That kind of info would be really interesting to hear from someone with experience against many of them like yourself.

@ Daniel Naroditsky. Thank you so much, Speedruns are not your favorit but i love them. Having 2100 real Life Elo i a for sure not the typical viewer but i have to say i can learn so much, you have a real talent as teacher and can even manipulate your playing style for that purpose. There are so much bad "teacher" on youtube, your channel is a rare case i found is ambitious to really help the player and not only generate clicks! All in the chat: leave alike and sup here, you are in the best of hands!

I really really wish the next speedrun can be mainly based on 1.d4 (Queen’s Gambit, not London lol)!!! I know Danya isn’t the biggest d4 player but tbh us viewers are mostly plebs so I’m pretty sure we don’t care if you don’t know the exact move 15 moves into the opening :)) Just wanna see more 1.d4 content, such as seeing you crush the KID as white, refuting the Englund, etc. Also, maybe could you consider switching away from the Smith-Morra against the Sicilian? Just to change things up, perhaps. I know we don’t wanna suggest too many deep theoretical lines, but the open Sicilian fascinates me, and if we’re going to keep on playing 1.e4, I wish we could do more open Sicilian. There is so little content on the sharp open Sicilian lines on KZbin. Too many content creators are afraid of stepping into them due to the complications, but I feel like that’s shying away from the beauty of chess.

Danya is in his element, coaching advanced ideas that are approachable even by lower rated players. This is rare among super gms because they are usually so far away from the average player that many details are often skipped because subconsciously they are assumed to be already known. But in the same breath, he doesn’t dumb information down that it bores the advanced player. That’s a hard balance to keep and danya excels.
