And I looooooove how she has simplified her hair routine too. None of all of that 5-15 steps hair product stuff. Just simple stuff. All that extra stuff is for like a spa day. Do it like our mama's used to do and just simply shamp, cond and then moisten and style. That's it, that's all. And your hair FLOURISHES.

Thank you so much for simplifying this. I’m mixed race and my white mom doesn’t understand my hair which I don’t expect her to. It’s difficult to find products for my hair since she doesn’t know what I need, and Since I am now older I have decided to learn how to do it myself and take the work and shame off of her. She always feels so bad when she does my hair and how different it is for me and how painful, and I wish she had more access to videos like these that are currently keeping everything together. My hair feels so clean and so stretched thank you so much for helping us out

I follow most of the same steps that you laid out, with some added measures. I do use a leave in conditioner and a cream/butter styler and hair grease as a sealer. My hair come out shiny and feels so good. I don't use rubber bands/ products on my hair because I have fine/ thin strands, so I put more braids in, so my roots will be flat.

I had serious doubt about your method because your hair looks like those people that say "My hair is so dense and unruly" but can manage oiling and twisting in an hour🙄.. and I've got a llama-that-ran-away-from-home type👹 of vibe on my head.. but I'm all about "the benefit of the doubt", "don't judge a book by its cover", "can't knock it 'till you try it" and all that mumbo jumbo SOOO CAN I JUST SAY!!! 😲😲 The efficiency was WOW! It was the shortest and simplest wash session and the drying method was super low maintenance and being my lazy self it stayed in those braids for a few days and when I eventually decided to oil and moisturise my hair it was STILL DETANGLED!! I PUT A WHOLE COMB THROUGH MY HAIR BY MYSELF!🥺Big step! I last did that when my hair was relaxed. If my mom or my hair dresser isn't doing it, it won't happen. But after this I can't wait to wash my hair again to prove it wasn't beginner's luck😌
