My son is a police officer. The man that shot him as he was responding to a domestic abuse situation was just sentenced to prison after two years in court. The man requested to speak to him and told him he was sorry. My son shook his hand, hugged him, and told him he forgives him. It was very emotional but that forgiveness has been a positive step in dealing with the PTSD that followed. 🙏🏼

Immediately after seeing this episode in theaters, my friend and I were sitting in my car talking about forgiveness. I was talking to her about my oldest brother and us not having talked for many months. I told her I have prayed to understand do I need to forgive, wait for him to reach out, or cut off the relationship to move forward and I didn’t have a clear answer. Told her I’m sure I’d have a sign from the Lord “soon” we laughed…… in THAT moment my phone rang connected to my car and it was my brother… I looked at her with my eyes the size of golf balls and said that’s my brother… She stayed there for the conversation and after we just sat in shock and silence for a bit. Talk about a POWERFUL moment after powerful episodes.

I married an abusive man. He made me pay for the neglect and abuse he suffered as a child. In 2014, I almost died from pneumonia and vasculitis, which is cancer of the immune system, and used our red blood cells to attack us. I was on a ventilator for 9 days. During that time the Lord Jesus spoke to me about forgiveness. When the ventilator was removed, I called my husband and he came to see me. When he arrived, I said to him, "All is forgiven." He wept. And the weight of our past was lifted. He seeks the Lord Jesus now.

Many images can make a picture book for children. So this language of pictures can translate into any language because all languages have words for the images. We all have children's understanding compered to God and jesus said "suffer the little children to come on to me for such is the kingdom of God". Jesus uses images to tell stories when teaching. When you learn the images as a child you grow in knowledge you learn words from the images then become more knowledgeable. You learn how to speak and to have a conversation. Well its is like that with the kingdom of God. So when jesus is telling a parable he is communicating a different message that only people who are in the kingdom of God will understand. The father's children are the one who believe in the God of Abraham and their scripture contains the meaning of the images. This is how he had crowds 5000 strong those people knew the images and there word's. If you don't let the author tell you how to understand Scripture. And you don't follow it in the way the author intended you to. And you are not using christs teachings you are being antichrist and denying the holy spirit the author of Scripture. Thank you for the chosen series. Its giving me the strength to go on. Im handicapped and cant walk very good. Cant work. Im battling very aggresive cancer. And Im facing more surgury for botched original cancer surgury. I have massive hematoma. I cant find dr. thats willing to do surgury. Its causing my arm to be mostly paralized. Watching this series reminds me that Jesus is with me, and loves me thru this terrible journey. And im forgiven for wanting to just give up. Also when i was 3 years old, i died and went to heaven. Jesus, or disciple appeared in this beautiful field of flowers. He was in white robe. He told me I needed to go back. That my mommy and daddy needed me. And others in my future would need me. I do hope i have helped some people over the years. Please pray for healing of my cancer, hematoma, lymphadema in legs and arm, severe knee and ankle arthritis, and bad cataracts. Also I lost my health insurance. Thanks so much for the series. It has helped me mentally and spiritually. ❤❤🙏🙏😢😢😭😭

I like how they argue if Peter is an able leader, BUT when he roll-calls for the night, they all respond anyway 😅 1:00:14 AND he starts a prayer that they all end up reciting aloud together. BEAUTIFULLY done. 1:00:51 thanks again, Chosen Team! ❤ so I googled and it’s a traditional jewish prayer called Hashkiveinu, a prayer to sleep well and wake up alive next morning. We were in Saudi Arabia during Season 1 and my boy was 8. He grew up along with the seasons and now, nearly at 14 years, he teaches his 6 year old sister and is talking about The Chosen to his high school pals in the UK. “That’s how I think I spread the gospel, mum!!’ He says. We as a family, watched Episode1 of Season 4 and cried so much.. When we repent & apologize to someone, the burden of reconciliation leaves our shoulders - it's on THEM now. I loved how Shahar physically portrayed that transfer as Matthew repented. Peter's subsequent obedience to forgive crushed the enemy and healed them both. ❤😇✝️📖

The simon episode towards the end of season 3 touched me deeply. My name is John and a guy i never seen or met came to me claiming to be a profit and started telling me exact moments of my life that no-one else knows till this day. It messed me up for weeks and i didnt know ow what to do. That was over 10 years ago and i felt like i failed god for not acting on that because the profit told me when he seen me god spoke to him in that exact moment and told him i have a greater purpose on this earth that i am not for filling. I felt like i didnt accept his words the way he wanted me to but that episode toward the end of season 3 with Simon made me fell like he was speaking to me again telling me he is a forgiving god and i still have time to fix what i felt i messed up. Thank you for putting is word out in a way that is easier for us to receive!!!!!!❤❤❤

This show is the best thing that has ever happened in my life. This show and Lord Jesus is my only comfort! This amazing series bring a semblence of peace in my life and it is not easy having a judgemental, overly-criticizing and abusive family!!

It was done beautifully. I loved it when Thaddeus (I think that was the correct disciple) popped up from behind James and John as they were arguing about why Simon got the name change, and said “I am pretty sure Jesus was talking about Himself as the foundation”. I thought it was beautifully done. It made it clear that we all initially have the wrong interpretation… Peter, James and John certainly did at first too. Jesus says things that can be hard to understand in a world ruled by satan… gotta sit with Him and get to know Him to really understand.

Since season 1 I’ve been waiting for Matthew and Simon to rectify their differences. Jesus had to show them both the ere of their ways to bring true healing and peace. I pictured Simon to be a bully within the group, and tonight after he forgave Matthew and announced it’s over, tears of joy flowed from my heart. Tonight’s depiction of forgiveness was overwhelmingly powerful. Praise God for your dedication to revealing His truth. May His Hand continue to guide you and your team. In the mighty name of Jesus! the deep meaning of what this episode tries to convey; one of the messages that really meant so much is the one of forgiveness. Truly as we approach HIM, of all the things we may ask and cry out for - it should be mercy, seeking HIS forgiveness, HIS grace. Coming to Him in repentance. And even as we come into His presence, as He works in our life, we too seek the forgiveness of those we have wronged and forgive those who have done as wrong as well. I've seen alot of films retelling the stories of the Gospel. I guess Hollywood placed emphasis on the spectacular miracles of Jesus, opening blinded eye's, casting out devils, walking on water....and so on. What's different about the Chosen is that it show's us that Forgiveness, and Reconciliation, and acceptance, and Affirmation are some of the most powerful miracles, that touches our Hearts and Emotions and Intellect. Thank you for Reviving and Reigniting my love relationship with Jesus and reminding me of his Genuine Friendship.....

Forgiveness is truly a gift... not only to the person you forgive but yourself as well. I had a friend who was in my wedding and then ended up in the bed with my husband. I got divorced but harbored an incredible amount of hatred for her for over 2 decades. Side note, she had a toddler from a failed marriage and moved in with us for a few weeks. I took care of the baby while she and hubby went off on some fake errand. Fast forward to 20 years later. One day, I saw her daughter all grown up on Facebook and reached out to the woman to tell her the daughter grew up to be a beautiful woman. My former friend asked me for forgiveness and told me she had regretted that all her life. I forgave her, and the burden of carrying that hate was immediately lifted like I finally had REST.

As a Catholic, the subplot of St Peter forgiving St. Matthew after he repents is a perfect illustration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). The object of repentance and forgiveness is Christ Himself - Communion with the Father. Christ is the mediator, but it is affected by the Priest acting In Persona Christi, or "In the Person of Christ" - Peter being "the rock" that stands in for Christ, "The Rock" in his priestly office which are the Keys to the Kingdom given to first St. Peter and then to the other Apostles, Bishops, and Priests throughout the ages. St. Matthew after the reconciliation looks like me when I leave the confessional, knowing my sin has truly been forgiven by the Father. We in our own lives, as a nation of Priests, affect this mediation in union with Christ to the Father by forgiving those who wrong us. Love this episode

@@GRACE4LYFE No one is overriding anyone. They are complementary verses, friend. Psalm 51 is the pinnacle psalm of repentance which acknowledges that all sin is sin against God. We ask forgiveness from those we wronged whilst also asking forgiveness from the One we always wrong when we sin. If you ask forgiveness from who you wrong without confessing your sin to God, I dare to say, your repentance is incomplete
