Zwift racing can be quite difficult to jump in to. Here are a few tips and tricks you can learn from some of my favourite Zwift racing personalities. Let me know if this video was of help to you in the comment section below. Thanks!
Thanks to Cameron Jeffers, Ash Beech, Ed Laverack, The Vegan Cyclist and Jon Mould for being in this Zwift racing how-to video.

In order to win a zwift race you need at least a FTP of 5 W/kg. I hope I will reach that fast xD

Hi Chris, When you talk about the distance left I think the minute it goes to a distance less than 0.4, for example, it shows as 0.3 What that seems to means is there is 0.39 left for example. So you are right in saying that the second it says 0.3 its only just dipped under 0.4. It's rounding down.

Jon's pedaling is so smooth! 400-500watts and it looks like he's pedaling in zone 1. Amazing how efficient pros are.

Best way to win, drop a category peddle about slow and to insure you get recognised as a lower category. Finally unleash your higher grade sprint, easy.

Would be good for zwift to come up with a way that team tactics can be a bigger factor for those kiss races.
@chrispritch
@chrispritch 5 жыл бұрын
Ye its a little bit to much of every man for themselves, the pace of the racers don't really allow tactics to come in to play... The only tactic is to hold on for dear life and hope you're there at the end!

Are the Tron bikes given an advantage during races? Is where power is measured (pedals, crank, hub etc.) on the trainer a factor in Zwift racing?
@stephenbooth7309

Ifferent bikes and different wheels have various advantages/disadvantages. The tron bike isn't the fastest set up on zwift but its still decent after all how its earned

I'm 195cm and 93kg. I probably won't win anything anytime. But what I do is after the race I arrange riders by apsolute Wats produced and I'm the first always 😂

Easier to win a bike race when the situation is in your favour, e.g Mould in the sprint. If you hang around till the end of my streams I break down my race and the good and bad bits. Personally, I was gassed in that race, still could have gone round them though but the brain works differently when it’s deprived of oxygen. I’m no sprinter, but that’s one bike race.

Oh mate any one can sit in a comfy chair and say "he should have powered through!!" 😂 it was a brutal race that was. Hindsight is such a wonderful thing like you say... When you watch it back you think commit! But when you're out there it's a whole different ball game! Good luck Thursday mate! 🍀👍

Cheers Kris, drop-outs are gutting. The added adrenaline doesn't help; makes you feel like there's so much more at stake in the moment… remember, it's only Zwift. 😤

Hey CP. refresh me... isn’t cam a cheat...? Let’s make this simple. If an individual cheats in any form in a competitive format, or non competitive format, that person is a piece of sh....t and doesn’t deserve any backing. They need to pick up another self improvement class and become a better individual as a hole. You should not support showing content show Cam on your site. You should know better than this. We viewers of your content or any other persons posting would appreciate the cleanliness of your supporting content. Ex: do you really think an inspiring young athlete or older athlete, with the knowledge of Armstrong’s doping background would take how to instructions seriously, unless they were fully doping as well. Come on brotha. Do not support the idiocy’s of people who can’t achieve anything on their on merit of pure ability and hard work. Love your work. But will not recommend/support if showing this type of support for cheaters.
@chrispritch
@chrispritch 3 жыл бұрын
appreciate it mate, if we refused to support anyone who has ever gained an unfair advantage in life we'd live very very very lonely lives... if, like you are saying that cheating is cheating no matter how big or small in all walks of life can we all honestly say we've never done something that some may consider gaining an unfair advantage? from googling an answer at a pub quiz, to sending a text to the opposite sex which could be considered cheating to full on doping, fraud and affairs... the fact is you can't be considered a cheat if you didn't break a rule that was never in existed in this matter. If the UCI consider banning caffeine next week does that mean everyone who had it this week and won a race should be banned? He didn't cheat in my opinion and I'll support him forever because I know him , I know his values, his integrity and how he inspires people to get out and ride bikes and that out weighs some insignificant miscommunication between zwift and the riders at the national race. I appreciate your comments and your support of the channel, I understand if you're opinion changes and you no longer want to support that's cool.
