Yes..... I was nominated for this award in Jan 2019. End of Jan was nominated with 28 Appriciation letters from pt's, families and physicians. From Jan to July during the journey of covid 19 I recieved 15 nomination letters with very heart touching stories..... Hoping for sm good news to come soon but not sure.... Thank you daisy foundation.

My daughter just started working as a nurse. She started in August 2023 and today she was nominated (Oct. 2023). What I don’t get is how long will it talle to wait and see if she gets awarded since they pic a winner out of several nominees correct?

I was nominated for my first daisy award in 2018 for basically making sure a patient goes to surgery for their appendicitis after the NP for the trauma surgeon stated they were just going to watch the patient for 2 more days when the patient and trauma surgeon agreed the night prior they had appendicitis and would have surgery in the morning. The day I had the patient I was consistently on the phone with the trauma surgeon while getting my other patient to surgery, and while being yelled at by my charge nurse/nurse manager why my patient wasn't upstairs yet (because they were on the way to the OR)
