Elie Bleu EBC-4 Cigar Cutter | Review

The Elie Bleu EBC-4 Cigar Cutter ($190-215) is the fourth different cutter design from Elie Bleu, the famous French humidormaker. This cutter is a take on a classic guillotine cutter that might also be of unique interest to fans of Arturo Fuente. As part of the newly-launched Manny Iriarte Enterprises, there are three licensed-Fuente designs, each paying tribute to a different Fuente brand. Of course, none of that matters if it doesn't cut cigars well.

DuPont. I wanted an elie blue cutter as they’re beautiful but they won’t sharpen the blades for you, even at a cost where DuPont will. Means that in 2,3,4,5 or however many years your cutter will be useless.

It irritates me that the trigger gets locked automatically every time you cut a cigar, so you have to unlock it again if you need to recut the cigar. It would have been better if you could manually lock it after you're done cutting the cigar.
