Finally he did it, typically I go for a scout or slinger first . In the World Cup they normaly go 2x scout into 2x settler

Man, you should use preserves, for example, in desert in Melburn, because it gives your campus from +1 to +3. Also near the geothermal thing its going to be +5, which is massive with +100% adjasency card. By planning you can get massive >+7 districts

Australia usually has crappy starts but you had a ton of room to expand to the east this time. Once your outback stations come online it is gg. I'd go ahead and found a city between Hobart and Canberra and another south of Launceston. Get an aqueduct and they will be fine.

There is a super op opener with a monument into sin bad but you need the discover heroes as game starts mod. You can get litteral 6 cities by turn 30

dude. once you have the $ for it you buy your way out to that 4 food tile. there's your city growth. :) and you clearly have a priority for fishing boats with those 2 fish. yes i know... means you have to build a boat to defend against the hordes. but.... that's your $ and most of your food right there. I know everybody loves the free settler pantheon. on this one fishing boats is very valid consideration. you landed on the coast. that bonus production adds up.

I am much worse at this game than you. I dont mind admitting. I also play a lower level. But how did you manage to just send out settlers into the wilderness and not lose them to barbarians? Everytime i start a new game and try to expand ...even using warriors and such as protection i get inundated with barbarians. They chip away at one side then pillage then come at another. All the while im losing ground where I could expand as im constantly putting out fires (literally) and having to delegate amd use warriors and hide my builders and settlers im case they are killed / taken.
