Babylon is such a game-warping experience it pretty much is a different game when you play them. That eureka ability is so insane that they could still be a contender for best civ even if that was their only ability. Their other ability that builds the first building the first time a district is made is also completely insane and would be the best ability for almost any other civ. I think you said that in the vid too

No wonder how... I lit was playing Aztecs AND the Babylon player has only 17 science and he was at the industrial era with only 3 cities and me with 8 was at the mid of Medieval Era, there was no way to take his cities

I'd still agree that they're C tier for religious victory, but one thing you missed it that with Babylon you can get a prophet easier than many other civs bc you get a free shrine when you finish your first holy site

Actually not at all... If babylon got always a market with comercial hubs AND huge pops that ti their unique building with their es envoys... there's a city state that gives you faith = to your pop number where the trader is there meaning 15 pop = 15 faith, having envoys AND a strong military Is key to win games

Religious they should be B, imo. The free building means you get the shrine, which is a big buff in earning a great prophet. I've played a lot of Babylon, and I've only missed a religion once on diety, and I only missed that because Solomon was in the game.

With The Great Library and/or Owls of Minerva you can sleep walk to a science victory through all the passive/stolen eurakas you can get.

The free tech is honestly game breaking, rushing great library is a must for babylon. Also, you forget to mention that researching technologies and civics from later eras than the current game era will cause them to cost 20% more, stacking multiplicatively per era. While other civs get penalized for being too ahead, babylon ignores all extra costs, which is what makes it one of the strongest domination civ.

The Great Library is just a real pain for Babylon to build on Deity difficulty unless no one spawns near you. I agree with the rest of your comment.

Great library sounds like a good idea for them but rushing it is probably the worst thing possible. Recorded history is boosted by building 2 campuses and building campuses with Babylon is just a not good endeavor. I tried to beeline GL once and by the time I got it I already got all the relevant ancient era techs

Yeah. I wonder why this ability wasn't nerfed yet. The easiest way to do it is to make it give all but 1 science for the tech, so you'll still have to reach there. Maybe reduce the Science per Turn penalty a bit, though not sure if it'll matter.

With the extra pop, I actually build a lot of campus & add ons, I just don't worry about adjacency too much. Great scientist are pretty awesome for Babylon

One strat that I haven't seen on video with GSs is to delay using the ones that give you boosts until you don't have any boosts that you can possibly get yourself. This is doubly true for Babylon.

I love to play as Victoria but I mean common literally every other Civ Is stronger AND It just annoys me that it's supposed that Victoria should be a dominating Civ at the seas but their Royal Navy Dockyars only gives you gold AND a free movement, like common any other civs get stronger ships, combat bonuses or tech bonuses, while England in the other hand just Haha +1 movement... Which Gran Colombia also have FOR ALL HIS UNITS

100 it is because on deity you start far behind and everything is 33% faster so catching up is so much harder I always played on quick but stopped like a month ago you get Man at arms you better attack right away every unit is out matched in 25 turns (side note ) hammurabi and heroes is so easy it doesn’t matter I stopped playing with heroes the AI doesn’t know how to use them and it’s always a Win by 200 if you make it to turn 50

I find production is a problem with them you can get better units fester but you have little production and I find I’m trying to build everything and that’s impossible I’ve lost with them in the last 6 months but I think Germany is the best by turn 120 it’s gg not the case with hammurabi but I still think they are super crazy top 3

Babylon can build 3 mines, get eureka for industry district technology then build 2 workshops (one you get got free) and instantly get eureka for industrialization. Now you build factory and ruhr Valley then instantly get eureka for oil by building industrial era wonder. You are in industrial era when others are in medieval! By then you have 80 production in the capital when others have like 30!

Everybody allways forgets about one big problem you have as Babylon. Your developement far and wide outstrides your economy. You will not have enough money for anything. You will not have enough production for anything either. So you can build an airplane in the renaissance era? Fine. Tell me how that goes for you, when you have renaissance era production and need to build a modern era unit.

Doesn't matter. You are building commercial hubs and palgums when everyone else is building campuses and other random infrastructure. Plus combat strength is everything in this game. You don't need a lot of units when the ones you have are far superior to anything the AI can throw at you.

To get the whole biplane push thing you are popping out 3 iz with workshops. It's also worth note that you are still building builders, your mines are going to get you+1 for apprenticeship, +1 for industrialization, and prob +1 for the ruhr valley to get flight unlocked. Production isn't that rough of an issue. The palgum helps with growth, which let's you get the extra pop to get the extra districts to be cranking out commerce hubs.

Very good at culture not to shabby with science either. You should get enough eurekas to be several technology levels above everyone. Just had a game where I researched Mars landing without even being close to rocketry.
