Great to see you covering commercial/industrial electrical work. Potential entrants to the industry need to see the exciting side, it's not just second fixing sockets and testing and dealing with dodgy DIY homeowners. Sorry to say that socks and shorts are out on industrial sites which would probably harm your image!

Just want to know if the panel height is going to bug you all night! And you finally; after getting no sleep, knowing you haven’t wired or cored the wall, crack and drop the panel 2”! 😆 Pair socks from the US if I’m wrong! 😑

Speed bits in an impactor blunts the holesaw ? Eaton do the slotted packs for 3 phase boards which saves you needing to cut pax

Whats the advantages of using paxolin over grommet strip? Obviously it creates a gap between DB and trunking, so that trunking lid can be fitted but is there any other reason why you would use paxolin compared to grommet strip? Thanks.

It can be difficult to get grommet strip over the cut edges of both the trunking and the DB. If you use Paxolin and cut it slightly smaller than the slot in the trunking and DB you can be assured the cables will rub only on the Paxolin and not the metal edges.

Should be a nice job when finished Out of interest do the NHS require a particular board manufacturer in their estate or can you fit any thing?

We all know the wholesaw is impacted rated but when you say to the apprentice go gentle I would always use a combi on a low speed but my apprentice hasn’t a clue what gentle means 😂

Not boring at all, James showed his sexy legs, lol. Seriously though, That was a good install in a very odd space. The paxlin(?) is something we don't seem to have here in the US, and our distribution boards (Panels over here) aren't as clean and well insulated as yours. There is a new line of boards by Leviton that are "Smart Boards", different from our normal, but they are a lot more money (abut 3-4 times more) than the standard (SqD, GE, Eaton) brands here. Look forward to the continuation of this job...and I feel for you having to do that coring. I've done a lot of it, and at one job in a vault under energized 480/277 4,000amp switchgear. With two inches of water on the bottom.

Oof. That board looks a night mare to connect earth and neutral opposition sides of the board. Better you than me if I was given it to fit I'd return it to the wholesalers.
