I visited a super fancy stable a few years ago where the horses were never let loose in big areas for fear that they might injure themselves by running around. I was pretty horrified by that, so seeing your horses enjoy their freedom really makes me happy. As always, thanks for sharing ❤

Years ago I worked with thoroughbreds as investments. Most were kept in a super fancy stable in KY. Owned by the Maktoum (sp) brothers. One day I got a call for my boss, one of the geldings was running around in the paddock and ran head first into a tree. They laughed about how stupid the horses could be. So sad that so many disciplines are simply money makers.

I love your videos. The only horse I ever had regular access to was my grandfather’s horse. Grandpa was born in 1880 and always had a horse. Even when cars came along, he always made sure to live somewhere he could keep a horse. His last horse was Old John, the one I rode. I was only 5 when Grandpa died, and John outlived him by 20 years. I don’t know how old he was. I only ever rode John bareback with just a bridle because by the time I came along, it had been at least 6 or 7 years since John had had a saddle on. I loved that horse. I started riding him when I was about 6 (as soon as I was old enough to bridle him myself. ) I would stand on the gate and call him over. He patiently let me bridle him and then slip from the gate to his back. Grandma just had a three acre pasture that he was in, but as far as I was concerned, it was out on the prairie in olden days. I’m 71 now, so it’s been a minute since I was on a horse, but the memories are so nice. Nothing beats the smell of a horse.

I am always so impressed when I see your horses so beautiful, and having such a good time running and playing! Because, contrary to many.peoples' perceptions, horses are actually rather delicate creatures, that need the best of care to thrive and survive in our world! Not only do they need the basics of food, water and shelter, but they also need almost constant mental and physical assessments with resultant tweaking of their diets, health, and exercise issues to help them reach optimum potentials! CC's individual program's for each of her horses does just that, but also shows the tremendous amount of work required to run and maintain such an endeavor! Amazing!

I just LOVE this channel and get so excited when I open YT and see a notification!! Just really relaxing and so informative & educational. I have the utmost respect for all who strive (and achieve) excellence in animal husbandry. Thank you, CC, for being a shining example!

Hi CC - thanks for the update video!! I have a suggestion for the slick spots in the round pen - pelleted bedding. I’ve used it to firm up mud and it works great - soaks up the moisture and just turns to sawdust that integrates into the dirt. Try one bag - just one! It’s a $6 investment.

It does anyone's heart good to see those beautiful horses (all other peoples' rejects!) running free in their pasture, and you gave them that! Is there anything about Prim that is not picture-perfect? What a gorgeous gal. No wonder Frisco Bill is in love!😄😍🥰 "A horse is a thing of beauty... none will tire of looking at him as long as he displays himself in his splendor" - Xenophon
