Hey CC, I wanted to both let you know and thank you for your wonderful videos. I’ve been enjoying them for several months now but this past week they actually became therapeutic. I just took care of my 88-year-old FIL with Alzheimer’s for a week and he loves the videos with the horses. He kept saying how relaxing they were. L O L we would sit and watch them back to back and he loved them every time. I passed the information along to my BIL and SIL who are primary caregivers. After losing my horse in 2020 I realized I couldn't be without a horse in the back yard even though I'm over 70 and haven't ridden in quite some time. I purchased a lovely 15 yr. Haflinger gelding who had spent most of his life at a farm with other horses. At my place there are horses in the area, but not really where he can see them. Not quite sure what he went through with his previous inexperienced owner, but she labeled him as defiant. He can be quite reactive at times. I have worked with him using the TRT method and also what I picked up from watching Warwick Schiller. Your videos have helped a good deal as well. Thank you.

NO BIRD HOUSE! At least not one with a hole on one side. Robins build nests on ledges and tree branches so you need a place within 6 feet of the current nest. They are masters at finding places where the rain won't get to them. The babies will fledge in 2 weeks. Birds don't reject because of human smell on their chicks. Birds reject chicks because the human predator is hanging around and it is better survivability if they let you have the chicks to eat and they can live to start a family another day. If you have a building with eave over hang close, you can put a shelf up and transfer the whole nest to the shelf but it has to be real close like 6 feet or less close. Is it possible to move the trailer a few feet towards a building over hang, every day? If this could be done then the last move would be moving the nest to a shelf. If so, put the shelf up first so the nest move is done in a minute. I wish there is a way you could pm me. I'm a retired wildlife rehabber and my specialty was birds. I'm willing to help you make this work. If the adults give up the nest you can feed the chicks high protein dog soaked dog kibble. NO milk, bread dry or soaked or worms ever. But they need to be fed every 15 minutes for 12 hours of the day. So you might see if there is a wildlife rehabber near you so in the event the parents abandon the chicks, they can be transferred to the rehab center. Also know, that while you need to be able to use the trailer soon, it is against the law to move the nest. Don't put it on youtube if you do. If you can find a way for us to talk by email, phone or FB, I'l help you. OK?

to all the "when are you riding at least one of your horses?" or alike: A horse is fine, without carriing people around. I truly believe that. A neighbor of mine is riding a cow, because the parents would not have her a horse🙂they even jump obstacles. Now would you think with a cow, or a camel, that it needs to be ridden so and so often? Camels really do need to be ridden often once they are saddle-trained so they have the routine of it. Otherwise, they forget and get really angry when the saddle and stuff is put back on after a long absence. The guy who invented the first Ortho-Flex saddle was a guy named Len Brown. He and another long rider started the company back in the early 1980s. He still make saddles and I have one custom saddle made by him. Saddle construction and quality is outstanding but the saddle itself is too big for me or any horse I own length wise, so it sits unused on my saddle rack which is a shame as it cost me over five grand to have it made. Not sure where the disconnect was but he made it waaaaaay too big. It is a 17.5 and I normally take anywhere from a 15.5 to a 16 depending on the maker and tree type. I'd have to gain 100lbs for a 17.5 to remotely fit me. It has a normal tree on it, but I have heard those old floaty ortho-flexes can be a really smooth ride so long as the flex pads aren't cracked and the bearings where they attach to the saddle aren't so loose/worn as to rub the horse because the pad moves too much.

@@patmair8888 I have never ridden in one. Various reasons - I am small and lightweight (barely 150cm "tall") and so the things have always looked far too big for _me_ - never mind the difficulty of getting one to fit the ponies and smaller horses I usually prefer to ride. For many years I took in ponies for retraining/rehabbing, and European/English pony saddles are widely available in a range of sizes to fit both me and the pony. That horn-thing at the pommel also looks positively dangerous to me! I used to compete at a fairly high level in endurance riding on my Arab mare; for schooling her and general hacking I had a very nice English general purpose saddle, and for training and competition I finally settled - after trying several different types of saddle - on a British military saddle, the 1912 UP. I had a saddler make the seat more comfortable and supportive for _me_ , but its real virtue was, of course, the way it fit my horse. I also tried a synthetic Australian stock saddle which looked good, felt comfortable for me and fit my horse, BUT I wasn't confident about its long-term comfort being maintained, or its ease of repair if anything should be damaged. Saddles can be such a complication if we want to do the best for our horses!

@@Sine-gl9lyI hated the bulk of a Western saddle and always rode an English forward hunt seat or a English saddle for gaited horses, it wasn't bulky between my thighs and far lighter for me and my horses. I generally rode speed Rackers and one of my favorite mares loved jumping as well,, Claude Sutton use to tell me that I was ruining her for show competition, he was wrong as she still won her shows,, but refused to let anyone else ride her but me as I bought the best hay and grain for her and apples, large candy pieces and doughnuts...never colicky or sick other wise and I rode flatshod as I wanted her comfortable and happy!

@@lindadeal3344 I don't understand most of what you are talking about as the only 'gaited' horses I am at all familiar with are Icelandics. These are similar in the most part to other northern European native equines, but generally come with an extra gear or two, which is usually absent in other northern breeds. Their saddlery and shoeing isn't too much different to other 'normal' local horses and ponies.

Look up plastic welding guns for that water tank. They are amazing. The first day I had mine it paid for itself.
