Whose closure? They have accepted that they are their father's children and the father acknowledged them during his lifetime. Who needs closure there. This guy is unerelated to them except to mwana wamaiguru who is sister's with his mother. I feel the lawyer failed to express the legal point that the other adult children have no legal obligation to prove their relatedness to the father. Noone is suffering any prejudice by them inheriting. Only a court can force them and thats if they find reasonable grounds to do so.

To answer your question, that guy is not the enemy here. He is the one who needs closure. There are a lot of loopholes when DNA tests are done based on relatedness when the alleged biological father is no longer there. That guy will live his whole life with a lot of questions if truth doesn't come out. How ever way, he needs to know so that he can get closure.

He should just have asked yhem to make a court application to compel the other children for DNA testing. Imagine in terms of maintenance, you have already given the child a name and a birth certificate and DNA proves the child is not yours, do you continue paying maintenance? Does the child then still belong to you just because he has a birth certificate? No guys there is no such law. Right now I feel even the aunts need closure as well. He isn’t. He’s following the law. 1. A WILL was present. Whatever the deceased (Apple) writes in a will = legally binding. Meaning, say for example he was lied to and one of the 3 other kids (Yellow) actually isn’t his? BUT he (Apple) had still written the will and left something for Yellow … according to the LAW, you only follow what’s in the will. A 0% child can still get an inheritance, if the will writer added them. 2. The lawyer can not go against the will writer’s wishes to REMOVE. Thats all he’s saying. He’s reminding people that even if all 3 other kids = also 0%? then, that actually doesn’t change anything. They were written in the will & they still recieve something. 3. This one, SHOULD have been added to the will, the father had no reason to not add him as well. 4. From a legal standpoint, the lawyer is correct. 5. Now, if he WAS a biological child and it’s proven then the lawyer still can’t take away from the others, but he can then say the deceased left without knowing/having included another child. And he can request before the courts to add a beneficiary. But not to remove* a beneficiary written by the deceased, biological or not. Lesson 1: If you have things? If you have kids. Write an iron clad will & REGISTER it with the Courts. Done. Lesson 2: Stop this nonsense of kids becoming adults without knowing their fathers. Lesson 3. DNA doesn’t lie.
