Fernandez was playing with a hernia for six months, Reese James, Colwill, Fofana, Lavia and Nkunku are all like new signings. Games missed by Chelsea players last season was 309 with 54 injuries compared to Arsenal with 114 games and 21 injuries. Get a grip Rory.

This has literally been happening at United for 20 years, and I’ve watched all these people laugh at our struggle. Only owners to take out dividends, putting a banker friend In charge of the club, who then puts his friends In top positions. Treating United like a personal piggy bank, our academy slowly went down, our stadium and training facility have gone down, and we slowly eroded away. Until they couldn’t afford to do those things and it was no longer an ATM machine, but something they needed to invest In…then and only then did they sell some of the club. The Glazers do not like Manchester United, it’s just a piggy bank over the pond. Not listening to others now complain when it happens to them if they were not complaining while we suffered.

I think the issue isn't that Chelsea are selling youngsters. They were selling youngsters even when they were winning league titles and UCLs. The issue is that they selling first team members and replacing them with players who aren't as good. I don't particularly think Chalobah or Gallagher are words class players, but they're undoubtedly 2 of the best players Chelsea had last season. Chelsea are keeping the players who they need to sell, and selling the players they need to keep. Because of the poor business decisions they've made. @@Cengert1979 I think there were certain individuals in that squad that are definitely missed but unfortunately went, for example not being able to resign rudiger and having to sell Kante due to his injury history, but players like Werner, Ziyech, and tbh even Havertz through 75% of his time with us was poor and I feel we’ve replaced them all well!. Also Boehly took a massive back step in terms of transfers after the first two windows, which is definitely for the best😂 I think you’ll see a much more controlled version of Chelsea this season, last season wasn’t amazing but it was entertaining as hell as every game was utter chaos, now we look a much more controlled, possession based side

People love to blame Pep for the decline of football but what they fail to understand is that most of the big owner have ruined football. Chelsea are no longer elite, Bayern are questionable, United are no longer elite, Dortmund aren’t elite, Barca aren’t elite, AC Milan, Juve, Roma, Lyon, Monaco, etc… so many of these clubs have been ruined by their owners, Madrid and City are the only clubs that would compete with peak football (2000s and 2010s). Chelsea’s spine could’ve been cemented by now… something like: Keeper R. James Guehi Tomori L Back CDM CM Mount Palmer L Wing Abraham That’s excluding players like Rudiger who were elite and could’ve still been in that spine but Chelsea would’ve effectively had 1 billion to spend on the other 5 positions, imagine the team they could’ve built…

Rory is spot on. Chelsea's american owners selling academy players that love the club and replacing them with overrated and overpriced kids as gambles for profit is not normal in english football. We've never seen anything like it. Imagine Gallagher playing so many games and working so hard just to be forced out for some shiny new (racist) toys like Enzo. Arsenal fan of course doesn't understand. His club has no youth pathway or academy intergration. 0 academy debuts in 5 years under Arteta except for pity minutes for that 15 year old.

I think what’s happening to Chelsea is hilarious. For years they bought their success with a dodgy owner doing dodgy things. They didn’t care then about selling youth players because they were buying players to win things. These owners are doing the same thing just not very well, and because they’re not doing well Chelsea fans all of sudden don’t like it

@ 6:20 Yes, we as chelsea fans have not had many youth players come thruogh and succeed in the past... but thats exactly what chelsea fans have been desperate for! it was the biggest complaint under abramovich. the greatest acheivement a club can make is to win the Treble with a team made up with a spine of home grown players from their youth team. Man united did it, Barcelona did it. thats the ultimate aim. We love our youth players and are always desperate to see them succeed in our first team, and the hatred towards the new owners is based in the fact that we were on our way to building a first team full of youth academy graduates, and finding success with them. the owners have completely ripped that dream away from fans and set us back by at least 10 years
