I know it be maybe a massive hurdle from a driver and software point of view, but you should try and make a Frankenstein dual GPU or something, with your skills I imagine you could... looking at that schematic, one last thing to check would be to make sure 3.3v stby isnt putting out more then 3.3v, it could be shorted to 12v i guess
