@Cody'sLab, You should wrap a LED light strip around the lower portion of the glass jar. Turn it on at max, One-Two hours per day, this should be on to emphasize the peak light hours. To shed light on the lower portion of the jar. So the lower foliage has a chance to grow. Bonus point if you make the LED light go bright Rainbow mode during it... to provide different light spectrums. Also, use Teflon tape on the protector for the bike valve. To further increase the air tightness. In case the valve leaks air, (which it does if you think about how bike tires lose pressure over time)... Afterwards, it should be good.

The theory that of no fungi to break down lignin is interesting. If I understand it correctly it lead to huge layers of organic matter and lots of it burned by huge fires at the en of carbon. Some got stuck under layers of inorganic stuff and are now the coal and oil reserves we burn.
@alexcamilleri39974 жыл бұрын
The disability of fungi to consume lignin during the carboniferous is disputed (or disproved) now, as there's phylonomic tracing of fungal degradation of lignin dating back to the Permian. There's a couple newer papers out there on the topic, check them out :)
