"Van Gogh's painting is the most wonderful interpretation of human sufferings" That line caught my attention the first time I heard it. I just saw this video at the Van Gogh - The Immersive Experience yesterday and came back today to listen more to your talk with subtitles in French and Dutch over and over again almost ten times at least. Thank you for this analysis of "Starry Nights", very moving and poignant.

What a beautiful analysis! As a Creative Writing graduate, I am most impressed by the amazing wording you chose in describing his art - that, and the accent. Of course, the accent. Guess I'll be watching this on repeat now...

As a fellow colorblind artist, your commentary here is incredible...yet you could add that Vincent's spirituality was fully integrated with his view of the world and his art. Thanks so much, this is a real encouragement...maybe I'll paint impressionistically hereafter!

Absolutely magnificent description. It's the critical analysis of par excellence and I as a student of literature delighted to hear the accent and the voice modulation to accentuate the vividly magical painting. I would like to keep it as a reference piece in my mind by listening to it over and over again. Thank you brother

I can say that he is not color blind with certainty. The reason is because he uses color harmony in his paintings. Most notably are yellow pairing with purple, and green pairing with red.

Great video. There are no words to express the talent that Vincent had, color blind or not. I have not seen anyone be able to even come close to this master piece although millions have tried. We love you Vincent!

I want to first praise this Painting. It is truly captivating and unique. It just heart warning, as if it is moving... Color blind!? I find that unbelieveable after you showing other paintings with bright shining colors. There is a paint called Incandecent. And now I am making an art piece, it's not a panting, a simple tribute to frontliners with my own song composition aboove the drawing inspired by a Filipino (in English lyric) song for Christmas. I used yellow and non and light blue, blue and darker blue to make an illusion of light in the lantern.

Great clip, thanks for sharing, but i think Van Gogh was not colorblind, in fact, Gauguin once adviced Van Gogh to use bright full yellow. Which would mean Gauguin was also colorblind? Looking at the expression put in the way this is painted, the way he painted stands in line with the expression of colour.

Hey, I don't know who made this. But that fellow did an impeccable job in describing the work of Van Gogh. I appreciate it. But when u think about it, his life was uneasy. He never saw what he had accomplished in his work. But the fervour that u have employed to describe him, his life didn't resonate it with in his lifetime. Probably he died with a heavy and sad heart for all good things eluded him. I digressed. Great job.

We all are 'color blind" in a way or another, we all see the world in a subjective point of view. Artists are the only ones fighting to keep they uniquie views, instead of ordinary man than lost is uniqueness as a child and became social addicted, social acceptance, money kog making machine, rejecting suffering asociated with uniqueness and embraces pain free ordinary acceptance.

I feel like i myself could draw a stickman with crayons. And if people thought the autor was van gogh or picasso, they would justify its worth in millions. With senteces such as "The stick man reflects how the author felt in life: empty, simplistic, a life without content . but at the same time, the author feels like a child trying to draw its first painting, rediscovering". Whatever dude.
