Great advice! Maybe next time, while describing a combo/strat, you can try adding more short clips showing examples of these, so you can make your points clearer! Maybe that would be a better format than mostly facecam. Keep it up bro, we're proud of the work you're putting in this.

Amazing video!!! As for suggestions for your future vids, maybe you could break down each projectile in depth? Whether it's all in one video, or a separate video for each I think it would help us Young Link mains out a lot! Keep it up bro, you're helping the community out a lot with this 👏🏻

Amazing video, love the stream too. In terms of what you could do in the future: - The matchup discussion was really interesting to me, I think there isn't much in terms of matchup guides out there, I've been trying to make some and share with the YL discord but it's a lot of work and I'm not that high a level player so I'm often uncertain about things. So that's one thing you could do that I think would help a lot of players. - Our biggest source of confirms is projectiles, UpB, landing aerials and most importantly DTilt. DTilt is an amazing move but it feels damn hard to land in neutral sometimes, in some matchups more than others. Swords and their amazing melee range, Characters like Inkling, Rats, Mario that run and jump all over the place with their great aerials and grounded burst options or other character with good melee range or projectiles (Palu, Samus, Belmonts, Rob...), I find myself hardly landing any DTilts in those matchups which means less meaty combos and very tough games. Especially you and Toast really seem to make it work though, so I would just LOVE a "Finding the DTilt" video, how to create opportunities to find that move. Cheers.
@hivesteel4 жыл бұрын
Oh and tiny nitpicks, hope you don't mind: - 8:05 "mixed with parrying Up-B can punish a lot of things". Up B is great because it by-passes shield drop frames, but if you parried you don't have those so you can do stuff like DTilt which is super safe and rewarding (and 1 frame faster than Up-B!). Whiffing up B can be really bad too. - 8:30 You kind of make it sound like you can NAir OOS without letting go of shield which might be confusing to new players. I've seem many good players come from other characters being hella confused and getting ZAir out of shield a ton.

Glad you mentioned Bair 1 to up smash, that has been my most reliable kill confirm. But if they are too far left or right from you can often do Bair 1 to f smash as well. Similarly fair 1 to up smash or down smash also works depending on the opponent

These pieces of advice are amazing. I would like to talk about smthg you said on the 4th. It's focusing on landing a kill confirm which is basically vision tunnel if done in a tournament/serious match. Friendlies (or practice matches like you said) are very important to learn how to do them against an opponent. Keep up the good work m8!

Dude can you go more in-depth about fundamentals *with* Yink. Such as disadvantage/advantage stages, ledge trapping, etc. and the options you use with various scenarios? Sometimes when playing a projectile character, you can easily forgot about fundamentals bc our way of interacting is completely different
@Squall0452 жыл бұрын
I love your videos and really appreciate your commitment to breaking down the dreaded "fundamentals." I was wondering if you happened to do YL paid coaching, as I would definitely be interested!

Regarding Z-drop recatch aerials, that is why Zackray makes his Grab button the left bumper on Gamecube. Apparently it makes it easier when he is recatching gyro as ROB. He said this in one of his videos.

i’m quite new to ssbu, can someone please tell me what a nair is? i’ve been trying look it up for ages and can’t seem to get a solid answer. i’m 100% aware this is a definite noob question and will probably make me seem a fool, but i’ve found learning this game to be very overwhelming to figure out. there is so much to it and so many words that make no sense.
@TheDeathwish59204 жыл бұрын
Nair stands for neutral air, pressing attack midair without inputting anything on the control stick. They can be difficult to pull off sometimes as a new player, but they’re a very important tool.

Oh damn I did "the Colonie" before knowing ya o.o I really wanted to have a pocket Yink for all cases (Yoshi main) but I always felt like I need to master wavebounces for using him properly. Do you think it's absolutely necessary to master it? Also how is your button layout?
@colinies4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say its absolutely necessary to master wavebounce boomerang if you are just looking to use him in certain match up's but it will definitely make your Yink more **versatile** ;) I use default controls besides tilt stick
@yakumo45894 жыл бұрын
@@colinies That's sick, same for me except for having tap jump off! Most people told me that wavebouncing is pretty hard if you don't use specific button layouts but it looks like it doesn't lol thanks for the nice tips and I hope to see more sets of your Yink in the future
