Villainous Wealth is an insanely awesome magic card. I like this idea a lot. However I think if I were to do it I'd throw more stupid value spells in the deck, and more cast doublers like Swarm Intelligence. Do Villainous Wealth, Army of the Damned, exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire, and the like to just destroy people with massive ramp and absurd spells.

Cabal Coffers + Urborg and bunch of ways to get them out are the best additions. Most opponents have nothing to do about them unlike Zendikar resurgent etc. Sequences like turn 3 Cultivate -> turn 4 Hour of Promise -> turn 5 tutor -> turn 6 you can Wealth for 12. It may not seem that great but after playing with it you will see that Coffers + Urborg totally change the power level.

Farseek doesn't require it to be a basic land. It can be any of the dual lands which have land types on them. Steam vents, for example, with Mountain Island. That's why it's such a good ramp spell.

I used play allot of jank villainous wealth decks in a casual multiplayer group at a local bar. Usually what would end up happening after I would VW the opponent with the most likely value, is they would get real salty and concede on the spot so I couldn't use their cards to destroy the rest of the table. This was back when it just got printed, and it was pretty hilarious watching them read the text on the card after I hit them for 30+ cards.

this channel is great...keep them rolling ..tasigur is quite powerful. some additions (which are out of budget) I would include are more milling such as sidisi brood tyrant and altar dementia and more mana doublers like crypt ghast and nirkana reverent and last but not least torment of hailfire which is a complete blast to play in edh.

Torment is just an amazing card in general ^_^ My favorite method is to use Cabal Stronghold in conjunction with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Crypt Ghast or another doubler. Hailfire for 50+

I actually really love oblivion sower and a few of the other eldrazi processors with Villainous Wealth, and I really think a Primal Amulet is so insane for spell ramp into spell draw into this.

Another card that’s fun to play along these lines is ‘Worst Fears’. Also, if you want even more mileage out of Villainous Wealth, ‘Ice Cauldron’ will allow you to load up mana in the end step before your turn or load a counterspell to defend your VW when you do it. Act fast before these cards are banned for being fun too(!)

Acquire could prove useful in this deck, as it lets you search an opponent's library, giving you an idea of whether or not you should pick them as your target for villainous wealth

Zuran orb is hilarious with the gitrog monster. Sacrificing a land to draw a card and gain two life. I play a land matters muldrotha and those two are probably one of my best two card interactions

This deck idea sounds like the final evolution of my deck idea. Beating people with their own cards is a great feeling. Though something I might add would be Rite of replication and Druid's Deliverance, using rite alone or kicked on one of your recursions creatures. Create a token, either get back rite or a card you need. Then use Druid's to fog, create a new copy and get it back with the token's etb effect. This will be a deck that I have to get used to playing it's style, the self-mill type style just hasn't clicked for me.

What’s nuts is that, yes, until jewelled lotus and the commander block-era of the last 2-3 years. For casual, most tables most times, a viable deck. Mitch also now talks faster, with KZbin intonation. 3 board wipes is a little all in. Times change, no one adapts, we all comply and all play the same cards.

Windgrace's judgement (that's the name i think). 5cmc instant kills a nonland perm for each opponent. That seems like a nice upgrade that is probably too expensive for the basic version of this deck. I would also add a couple more counters like Dispel, Negate or even Autumn's Veil (not exactly a counter but functions the same way) to ensure Villainous Wealth will resolve. These are cheap cards therefore can fit nicely even in the non-upgraded version. Sphinx of the Final Word can help with that too and it's not too pricey. Don't know if this is a card worth having in the deck for extra safety reasons though but personally when i build a somewhat glass cannon deck with one finisher i want to be sure that it will resolve. But since i haven't played with this deck i could be wrong and the amount of gy recursion cards are enough to compensate for when it gets countered. Anyway i really enjoyed the video. I love that there are so many cards out there that do the same job of edh staples only slightly worse (or even better in some cases depending on the deck) that many people including me had no idea they even existed prior to some of your videos.

Definitely an interesting one to consider as well! I would say the only advantages that Tasigur has over Muldrotha is that you can get him out quicker, he can get Villainous Wealth back on his own (with a little help), and people usually try to kill the Muldrotha deck first

Epiphany at the Drownyard does not do the same thing as Fact or Fiction. The opponent chooses which pile you get, which makes it worse unless you put a lot of mana into it.

Still dont get the prizes... Edhrec uses cardkingdom prices, splendid reclamation is for example at $2.29 there, while you list it at $0.99, the difference is huge (i don't care about keeping the cost at $25, but I want to buy cards as cheap as those prices...)

Definitely understand where you are coming from. The prices you see underneath the cards are taken from Scryfall, which are generally TCGPlayer prices since those tend to be cheaper. When the deck cost is calculated, it is by optimizing in TCGPlayer

I play this deck a ton and it has always performed for me! I can definitely understand the apprehension because they are budget, but these decks are tuned to be synergistic. I highly recommend trying one of them out for yourself!

They are great in the right deck but they are riskier. If someone destroys that land you are in big trouble.

Yep! It definitely is worse than Evolving Wilds, but it is better than something like a Simic Guildgate

Could you use other sites for buying? TCGPlayer ships the wrong cards sometimes, and most of the sellers make us spend 2$ from 26 sellers for one single, so that's $52 right there

I actually haven't run into those problems with TCGPlayer personally. I find that they have the best prices, especially when I optimize with Heavily Played and Damaged cards, so I recommend doing that if you haven't tried yet!

Good question! So with extra mana you can mill to get to important cards. Also he provides a ton of value by forcing your opponents to give you back a nonland when you do so. Sometimes this can be huge depending on what is in your graveyard. Also, he is a 4/5 that you can get out very early to deter attacks.
