Aight Analysts. I'm still working on the original video on the Kendrick side of this beef with Drake and the KDOT DROPPED AGAIN! This story is moving too fast, so here's a quick off-top take on what I see so far in this greatest rap beef of all time. I'll drop again this week with a more nuanced, eloquent commentary on Kendrick's side of the battle. It's all happening.

It’s not just the slave line. Drake had a line in family matters that said “Weekend music getting played in all the spots where boys got a little more pride/ that’s why all your friends dipping to Atlanta payin just to find a tour guide” Kendrick is also flipping that. You can’t run to a city for a check then shit on that same city for the demographic that lives there. Specifically when it’s primarily black. You gotta remember Kendrick speaks openly about his aunt who is apart of the lgbqt community, again. Disrespecting the culture of a city.

Yeah, but Kendrick claimed to be an Israelite as well. Support of LGBT anything is abominable to God. So is calling your brother, according to the Bible, a colonizer when you know scripturally he's your brother by way of his father. The way that Kendrick is painting pictures and angles to land disses, then contradicting those same angles to land more effective disses is the only thing close to as unsettling as his accusations. I'm not supporting Drake. If the accusations are true, then he should be brought down. But, for me, Kendrick's credibility is shaky enough that much of what he's saying should be looked into for accuracy before claiming that he feels any type of way, just because he says or implies it.

Drake was buried by Joe Budden, Pusha T and now Kendrick. He only took a w against Meek.

Not sure, Drake can release a track unless he adresses an allegation. As for Americans, yes America the rest of the world feels you glorify slavery, and have monopolize the term slavery for your own history when it was a universal discompozing fact. Kendrick is a unique genius when it comes breaking down a rapper this is by far the greatest beef we've had probably ever, Drake is humbled by numbers because if he can't beat him in numbers he's lost. Even though views are so unusually spiked for surprise tracks.

Great video as always man. One thing I disagree with though. I don't think the "rapping like you trying to get the slaves freed" was dissing Kendrick for having a message. The idea of the verse was that he was presenting him as someone who's fake deep - that he presents himself as conscious but that he doesn't adhere to his own messages. But it was def a miscalculation to use that line when his own racial perspective/allegiance is being questioned

Exactly, Ketchums. I get what Drake was trying to say. But it's how he said that differs from "just a cause a nigga where kufi it don't mean that he bright. Cause you don't understand him it don't mean that he nice. It just means you don't understand all the bullshit that he writes." Those subtle differences and lack of connection with black american heritage sticks out like a green hat with an orange bill in situations like these. And all it did was add an easy set up for the most powerful part of "Not Like Us"

Outside of the content of the lyrics/disses (I think Kendrick is also easily winning there too), I think the general artistry and flexibility Kendrick has shown in his tracks is showing how far apart these two are. Kendrick has used so many different lyrical styles, vastly different flows, a wide range of beats. He's just running circles around Drake in every facet of this.

I think Kendrick is nailing this beef on the head with how he’s attacking drake, although I don’t think it’s in ways that most people (drake fans, and the occasionally hip hop listener) would ever give any time of day to try and hear. Most people just want to catch a vibe. Since some of this beef has turned into a lot of “he said, she said” (allegations) I do think some of k dots points might get overshadowed to the masses if his allegations come out to be false, or never uncovered… Also I think this beef has gone way past how almost beefs work (measuring bar for bar) we got diss tracks, letters warning tracks and people are arguing over which ones count as points going round for round lol I feel like the casual listener glaze over most of Kendrick’s layered bars and will jump straight to DAMN HE SAID DRAKE SHOULD DIE or DRAKES A PEDO, even though Kendrick was alluding to people in drakes camps are and also drake. And that some of the heavier messages the masses need to understand will be lost. I think Kendrick’s polarizing one liners distract a little from drakes biting from the culture and not bigging it up and respecting it, just a few of my takes… from a white die hard kung fu kenny fan that catches vibes from a handful of drake songs
