I just finished this show, and it said she gave her baby to an acquaintance for safe keeping but then couldn't find it. That poor baby was sold into trafficking, bet you anything. Stupid bitch thought that was better than letting some upperclass folks who want nothing more than to have a child to love as their own but can't. Child protective services should have snatched that baby the minute it came out. God she makes me mad.

I was homeless in Hollywood from 1999 till 2001 & I know almost all the street kids in this video including spider and they are all good people just abused and disregarded like trash from their family. I was able to make it out with help from LAYN & my friends place. I hope all of these kids have made it out. Much love from Jennifer.

LAYN kicked me out because I let my boyfriend stay with me in the apartment program lmfao. I know so many street kids and yes My Friends Place is a good day shelter but I’m sure the pandemic has been horrible for many street kids.

Lol The Covident House Hollywood and the Gay and Lesbian center was the best places to live at. I always suspected that staff members and clients have sex because special treatment was given. The Covident house kept me in Crisis for 9 months and kept extending my 30 days but I had to keep writing a letter of improvement each 30 days but I was moved to ROP for 3 days then kicked out because of a drunk night under the bridge with my boyfriend who was also homeless and addict to Crystal Meth. I was addicted to Meth but couldn’t tell because it’s not what you think. I know this might sound crazy but I actually look back and view those times as “magical” because Hollywood is definitely a strange place but many of those people have GREAT HEARTS and you just get completely lost in that world it’s like a total escape almost a complete fantasy because it’s just so depressing but also entertaining because my mind set is “I can’t believe this is my life right now”. The one good thing is that you completely live “in the moment” and stuff like Social Media and Celebrity culture is a afterthought.

I saw this when it originally aired in 2001 .I've watched it several times since then. I had a newborn at that time and I ve just got to say that the newborn in this, Kalena never left my mind. I find it utterly impossible that nobody knows what happened to her. Why nobody has ever tried to find her. That gorgeous baby. The mother Spyder knows but it was kept on the down low hush hush . That baby is about 19 now. I pray shes alright happy and healthy.

I know Spyder. I was on the streets with her in Santa Cruz. She is in prison right now but she was always fighting for her children. I believe her daughter was adopted out and is living a good life. Spyder is now in her late thirties and is a complete and total mess. Still homeless, still a "gutter punk", married to a guy who's going to do time. She herself has done time. No mention of the baby who is now twenty or pretty close. Hopefully she got adopted by a decent family. Poor thing if she knows about her really tough and unfair beginnings. That baby should have been reported as a missing person does anyone know why she wasn’t? Or why spider or the last person she left the baby with wasn’t looked into? I was 19 not 21 and Tom is not even my real name. Al was 16, never saw him again. Lorie died within 3 years. Everything the narrator says is B.S. They didn't even have legal rights to use this for commercial purposes (legal signatures). I have been in treatment for over 20 years more than 15 years off drugs and alcohol (aside weed). It was more than 25 years ago. I'm 43 years old, responsible, homeowner. How many of you can say that. As to Spyder and her Husband don't be too judgmental. They are still together (that's so sweet🥲). Didn't know them too well, they were always nice to me. 😁

Regardless of how pretty she is, she was a mess. Very sad the track she was on in the late '90s. The choices she made at 17 no doubt shaped her future in immeasurable ways. Her appearance has changed drastically and she's pierced and tattooed her face so much. I know it sounds bizarre, but for a number of reasons, Spider touched my heart when I first saw the documentary in 98-99, so being an overly nosey person, I looked her up a few years ago to see if she had a FB or other form of social media. She has several FB pages, the last one was active as recent as last year. She was getting ready to do time for drug possession and for being a felon in possession of a firearm. She had a relatively short sentence and if she's not out yet, she should be getting out later this year or early next year. There's no mention of her baby anywhere on her Facebook, which is odd, considering that she puts her whole life on social media, yet there's not one mention of her child. It leads me to believe that she either never found the baby or else the baby was taken away. With all of the children that go missing, it's frankly terrifying. I've done searches for the name "Kaylena Nicole Mcbride" spelled every way imaginable, and I've never found anything.
