Kunafah without Oven | Pan kunafa | Iftar recipe | Knafeh
Ingredients:
Sugar syrup-1 cup
Water-1 cup
Lemon juice-1 teaspoon
Rose water-1/2 teaspoon
Method:
Boil sugar, water and lemon juice. Simmer for 5 minutes and add rose water. Switch off the flame and let it cool.
Kunafah dough-150g
Melted butter-70g
Orange colour-3-4 drops ( optional)
Akkawi cheese-200g
Ghee -2-3 teaspoon
Method:
Cut the dough into small pieces.
Mix the butter and colour and mix with the dough.
Make sure the dough is well coated with butter.
Take the pan and spread ghee.
Place the dough as a layer and top with the cheese.
Cover the cheese with the kunafah dough.
Cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes.
Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
Pour the sugar syrup.
Garnish with pistachios.
