Story time: Almost LOST a WHEEL on the F150 Yesterday!!!

I agree, it was a well timed problem, this would have been more irritating if it happened in the beginning of the week, or if the wheel would have completely left truck truck. This is about the best answer for something like this.

I had the oil changed & tire rotation today. Made it home no problem.

Thanks! This is our rainy season, from roughly the end of June to late Aug (sometimes longer) it rains almost daily, in the afternoon.

Allen, I believe what they should of done is replace both tires cause now you have one lower on the rubber then the other. Maybe not much but enough to notice it. That's just my thought and what they should of done to even them tires out. Have a good one bud. Stay safe and God Bless.

The tire itself was not affected - it didn't wobble enough to rub on anything. I took a look at the suspension and other components in the area, and the dirt wasn't even disturbed. As for the tire, I already have one that's out of wack from the rest, had to replace it due to damage at 44K miles. I did this before on the Escape (from 20k miles) and didn't notice any significant change in bearing / component wear.

Thanks! That was my first thought - I'm glad that wheel didn't leave, I probably would have been ok, but no telling where that wheel would have gone and who's lives it could have changed forever.
