My favorite part is Adam not being afraid or embarrassed to show how much he cares about helping the children. I think that is such a great idea to donate money, supplies, time, anything to the area you visit, thanks for bringing that to light. Im not an emotional person but when you guys talked about KKIS it hit home because I grew up in poverty and my family relied on programs like that for school and being legally blind i was able to get glasses as a child and finally at the time stop falling down or running into things. I dined at Alux in December. The best salmon and lobster. Dessert was also delish. Great service and staff.

We didn’t get to experience the lobster but the salmon was great. Crispy skin was perfect. It’s a bit our of our regular price range but it was worth it for the experience and service! We were servers for 30 plus years between us and the staff was wonderful! Me time Dessert 🍮 for sure! I hear it is FLANtastic!

I love that you guys don't call the hustling a scam. I've seen so many tourist youtubers do that when they really just don't know that is caribbean culture. They do it too in Jamaica. It's like instead of waiting for the customers to come to you, you go to entice the potential customer. Most are just trying to make an honest living and no one will bother you or feel bad if you say no or ignore.

Yeah I get that. But we’ve definitely been scammed - really scammed here too by some bad people which is a terrible feeling. And it’s not just foreigners they work over, locals too. Just gotta try to be aware and walk away. It’s hard though when it’s your first time visiting and you don’t know what the pricing should be, then you find out later that they got you good. It happens all over and to everyone. Definitely a lesson of travel!

But I have good hope that the situation will improve in the future. At least this year I had the opportunity to take a vacation in the Bavarian Alps. Great sharing of the culture and lifestyle of Playa del Carmen. I particularly loved the street scenes and street food. We have a cave restaurant in Nogales, Sonora right across the border here called La Caverna.

Thank you so much! It really took us by surprise. We are not usually into such busy places but that why you always have to keep an open mind. The cave was cool! I didn’t know you lived by Nogales! I used to go there a few times a year when I would visit my uncle and cross into Mexico 🇲🇽. He never told me about a cave restaurant! Put it on the list!
