There are plenty of things to do and see in Merida Yucatan Mexico. So much so, that Merida Yucatan Mexico is the second most popular place to live in Mexico for expats, and has been said to be the best place to live in Mexico. Don’t forget they do a ton of walking and exploring … they need their fuel … part of their videos is to show us the types of food in the area, we all need to eat when we travel. I personally see that they are losing weight since this started .. I know when I travel I tend to eat more than I normally do and end up lighter than I was when I arrived.

Great for kids because it's outside and they can be loud while learning in many places. We stayed on the south side with the locals who were wonderful. Beaches, FOOD, music, rain forests, so much packed into a small island. I encourage people who have never traveled internationally to try PR first. It feels exotic, but you still use dollars and have a post office!

One spot you definitely should see is the Gran Museo del Mundo Maya (Huge museum of the Mayan world). This place leaves no stone unturned with relics, actual huge stone artifacts that can travel from the actual Mayan ruins that dot the Yucatan. Some are permanent exhibits but many rotate with the seasons. At the actual ruins, you are not allowed to get up close & personal with these precious gems of Mayan history but here you are allowed that privilege. Large screen scenarios and historical background visuals in comfortable, air-conditioned darkened viewing areas give you a chance to relax and absorb the history. The day we went --a Wednesday afternoon--the museo was not crowded at all & at times we were the only family in the area. There's something for all ages too. I wanna go back!!!

Haha 😂 there are cenotes everywhere! I think we were wrong in our Valladolid video when we said they have 2,500 here - pretty sure it’s closer to 6,000! I just did a bunch of research yesterday on them because we are actually going to a town for our next video that has 16 cenotes in a small area, so we are going to take a tour!
