Bill Burr is going to be know as one of the greats far after we are gone. He might be harsh at times. But he truly wants people to be the best they can be. His perspective on situations is pure gold!

Bill Burr is hilarious. Can’t be cancelled. Being really funny may hurt someone’s feelings. He hurts a LOT of people’s feelings. He’s amazing. 😂❤️❤️
@halgari4 ай бұрын
This video is a good example of *why* he doesn't get cancelled. He says stuff that sounds insane but then backs it up with enough logic that people see his point. And in the end he walks it back a bit and blames himself. Through it all, although he's "angry" and yelling, it's clear that he's not being mean spirited just pointing out the insanity of the situation.
@michellegibson62214 ай бұрын
He doesn't hurt people's feelings. He embarrasses the shit out of them by putting their behaviour on display and making an example of them. Shame makes you defensive

Divorce culture is a thing in the West. I'm sure it's not as big a deal in Lebanon, but here tons of men lose half their wealth to their wives as the divorce courts 100% favor women.
@Ჽum4 ай бұрын
I think a lot of it has to do with how easy it is to get married in the first place, and the added benefits of being married (i.e. both contractually in terms of receiving company joint-benefits and whatnot, and in terms of filing taxes which can be a bit annoying if you're already living together and have to rely on each other's incomes but can't file jointly) can make it well worth it if you're in a relationship. Combined with the fact that as far as religious diversity is concerned, the vast majority of people don't place nearly as much weight (if any at all) in the religious sanctity of the institution, which has historically been used as one of the primary motivational factors/reasons to get married in the first place; now people instead tend to use divorce as a tool to get back at their disgruntled partners without fully exhausting all of their options to fix their marriages, whereas historically if you were a member of any church, most religions expressly forbid divorce or at least place heavy emphasis on consulting the church's leaders and showing that you've both truly made an effort towards fixing your marriage before either of you even consider getting a divorce. If you're not religious, then there's no reason that you shouldn't get a prenup. If you're religious, you should probably still have a prenup. Basically, get a prenup if the institution you're getting married under allows for it.

Great reaction. The part where he mentions "That's what the law says" is a hint at why it happens. The law in our country see's 2 married people as 1 person bound by marriage. So any money made by either person in that time is split between them. Because they both take part in the making of it even if the man, or woman, made all of that money themselves. And the power dynamic there is decided by the partnership that goes back to old lifestyles that people today don't understand. It used to be women held the household and took care of that while men would bring home money for it. A real partnership to raise a family in. It is no longer seen like that in today's society but the law is still setup that way.

No fault divorce was the worst thing to happen to society. It made marriage a joke. It use to be really hard to get divorced. Which means you needed to be sure you want to stay with your partner forever. Since then morals have been in a huge decline.
