My kit is the one at 3:40, and yeah the DW snare is the same as yours. I also happen to have the exact same Mapex Armory as you too! I converted the floor tom to a kick for small stages. Love your work mate!

This episode cracked me up. 😂 At 77 years old I have 3 kits. A vintage 1962 Ludwig white marine pearl Hollywood double 8 x 12 tom kit, 16” floor tom, a late 80’s Pearl Maple Blue lacquer double power toms , 12 and 13” , with the high tension lugs , 16” floor Tom, and finally my new 2024 Tama Starclassic Walnut / Birch 5 piece shell pack and 8 Zildjian cymbals. I got carried away on the K Zildjian s. I have been playing drums about 65 years counting bongo drums and have the hearing aids to prove it. I see what you see as I’m sure many of your viewers do as well, but to hear you describe these kits is just a joy to watch 🎉. Thanks. 👍

If you're going to play a double bass pedal, get the correct hi-hat stand that has the independent turning legs. The legs move out of the way so you can get the hi-hat pedal right next to the bass drum slave pedal. If you're going to play a double bass kit, then you got to get the clamp that holds the hi-hat stand onto the bass drum. You have to fold the legs so that they are straight.

1:30 i personally also seen many of these and asked this question, but i realized i had something similar in my kit. the thing is, when using your double bass pedal you hit with the toe the part thats closer to you, you know thats bassicly how bass drum technique works, but in the case of the hi hat, you dont have a technique that tells you how to better use your feet there, so on the kick pedal you touch closer to you, if that wouldnt be a thing, the pedals would look the same. we dont make the feet go around like crazy when switching from the hhat to the kick, so its not a difference

Im a guy who has a single kick with a double pedal and I get why you'd want the hi hat pedal a bit separated. It feels a bit uncomfortable if you heel down the hh-pedal

hahahah respect on the 5 rating that Busker deville Kit was trash tbh, no wonder SJC discontinued it. I got rid of it a week prior to that image submission. Bought a DW which is night a day better made and sounding.
