I wanted to implement some memorable moments of community driven works and fan made content in, so I chucked in some cool references and had lots of fun. I feel bad for putting this one off for the longest time; procrastinating almost every aspect of it - but it came out pretty okay!

This fits them so well. Despite DreamXD being the only canonical god of the DreamSMP (afaik), Techno and Philza are definitely among the most skilled at the game, and in that sense are basically godlike. Hell, Techno and his chat regularly say "Blood for the Blood God" and are possibly referring to Technoblade himself. Apotheosis is a term used by the Ancient Greeks to define the process of a mortal ascending to godhood, and I think it refers to Technoblade and Philza very well. If I were musically inclined I would write a song about them and call it Apotheosis (feel free to steal this idea, no need to credit, ideas are public property, comrade)

I revisit this animatic a lot because it captures their vibes perfectly, and it never fails to bring a smile to my face. With grief, I sometimes forget how much joy Techno brought into my life, how much of a menace he was, bulldozing through everything that stood in his way while managing to be 'actually pretty funny'. I hope he knew how much he meant to his community. Rest in Power, Legend. Can't wait to see his 1v1 with God

Man, I wish I had seen this before now! It's such a great choice of music to go along with the two and their friendship. I also love how neither of them have a "set" voice - Techno isn't always Miguel, and Philza isn't always Tulio, but instead it rotates between them depending on what lyrics fits that character best. I ADORE this, love how you went more meta with it because it just suits Phil and tech so well. These guys just kind of fell into the lap of fame (well moreso Phil with the s2 death, techno strategized to blow up, which fits the lyrical roles even more) and now get treated like "gods*" by overzealous fans putting them on pedestals (some that absolutely will "sacrifice" them on Twitter, that's some God-level humor right there) *obviously gods is an exaggeration but the way some fans want them to be absolutely perfect all the time and to HAVE BEEN perfect forever... maybe not so much of an exaggeration. To quote the movie "to err is human" 👀 But overall these goofballs love it, they have fun, fans love them and make really cool art out of it (love the derivakat/SAD-ist refs) and that's just so cool. Love this, the expressions are fantastic, the story of it all is perfect, 10/10 ❤

I wouldn't technically count this as a reference, well maybe I would. At 2:03 when technoblade says the lyrics "be a cult" in a way it's a reference to how his fan base is similar to that of a cult. We would chant stuff like "ONE OF US" and "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" almost like worshipping a god or a diety in a fanatic way.

I already watch this almost every day but here i am once again! I think we all know how good everything here is but ALSO the characters are spot on! Phil and Techno both just havin fun talking and suddenly they're celebrities, Techno got gold and money just beacuse he exists and went "alright, if this is my life now thats the best outcome fate could give me" and just ran with it and Phil was sceptical at first and worried about every thing but later just joined in the chaos ("aren'tyoutiredofbeinggoodphil?"flashbacks)
