That giggle is so cute! My little girl just turned one year. Baby Noah is definitely a handsome chunk! He has my 12 month old beat by a full pound! lol. I feel you on the lack of sleep. We just went through 2 months of waking multiple times a night just screaming. It has taken 45 minutes to get her calmed down and back to sleep most times. Those days are definitely about surviving the tiredness that follows. Then just like that everything got better and she sleeps through the night again. We have no allergies, she wasn’t teething, and wasn’t sick so it must have just been developmental changes. Praying things get easier for you and your family!

Oh Hannah. You are doing such a good job in very very difficult circumstances. I know it does not feel like that and I totally understand your wanting to cry all the time. It is a normal reaction to stress and you are under a lot of stress right now. It sounds like you get very little support from your doctors which drives me crazy because Moms know and they should listen to us! You are doing everything you can and you have two beautiful children and you need to be kind to yourself. Let yourself accept that you are doing everything you can and that is good and all you can do right now. Do what works for you to get through the day and know so many of us understand and send love and prayers and wishes that we could do more. You are wonderful!

Are there any free play centers around you? Where you and other moms can get together and the kids play while you get to be a person, rather than a mom for a little while. If not,try heading to the park with your littles and let them have fun... obviously not on the grass for Noah...i have faith in you and your abilities as a mom. Chin up kid... better days are coming! It's good to see you. Allergy babies are hard. My youngest was allergic to milk in any form. He was a year before we figured it out. I keep him off milk until he was 4, at which point he had outgrown it. I didn't try before because I didn't want to deal with the reaction. He was also allergic to a bunch of sunscreen and diaper rash creams. Later figured out it is zinc oxide. It is hard. It's ok to hold off on trying soy again until he's much older than 9 months, that seems young to me. Also none of my babies slept until they were well past a year or more. The exhaustion is terrible. Just do what you can to survive. Hopefully discovering the soy allergy and it'll get better. See you when you can. Prayers things settle down for you.

Aww Hannah sending much love and a big squishy hug. So glad I finally got around to watching the podcast. I had a couple of times I was a few minutes in and got disturbed so glad I was able to watch from start to finish. You have been in my thoughts and been wondering how you all are. You just need to remind yourself that this is just a season and things will get easier. I used to be a chef and for a while I worked in a nursery and we had 1 kid who seemed to be allergic to everything he ate! It's so frustrating, I kinda understand what you are going through but I imagine it's worse when it's your own kid. You got this! Tiktok can be so toxic I've realised, some people can be so mean! Yesterday I went to a yarn show in Edinburgh (was so good) and I decided to take my wheelchair so I wasn't completely done all weekend, I put my crochet wheel covers on and caused a bit of a stir! I've never had so many people stop and ask if they could take pictures or ask about the covers. I've put some pics up on IG if you get a chance to have a look.

Hi Hannah! It was so nice to see you-my oh my you have a lot going on girlfriend! Just know that we will always be here whenever you are able to record--life is just that way sometimes. I wanted to tell you something that I hope will cheer you-I have been recording my own podcast now for almost a year and it’s been great and when I had been contemplating starting a podcast you gave me a piece of advice that I ran with--be consistent in terms of when you record and upload. I think it made (and is making) all the difference for me as my viewers and viewers-ship have been growing slowly and steadily. I record/upload every two weeks even when it seems like life has other plans (like this week with the eclipse! Here in Vermont we were in the path of totality so we really needed to make the effort to go see it) But my viewers seem to give me a pass even when I’m a little late--which is no surprise as this is a wonderful yarn-y community of friends. I love it when people comment on my podcast and I answer every one as soon as I am able. All that is to say a big thank-you to you for your encouragement and I just hang in there girl (so cliche, forgive me!)-you’re having a rough go of it, but things will swing back the other way eventually. I will hold you in my thoughts and send you good vibes!❤

I'm so sorry about the food sensitivities. We had that too and spent a year with no sugar, no eggs, no chocolate, no gluten and more. It turns out I was a celiac and my two girls just had a few orginal problem foods and when they were eliminated their guts healed and we were pretty much fine. We spent the year never eating out and scratch cooking everything. I pre-made and froze...muffins, cookies, bread etc so there was grab and go food. And always brought a picnic everywhere we went. My homemade pizza sauce: 1 can tomato paste, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning and ground black pepper and 1/2 teaspoon white sugar. Cook on stove for 3-4 minutes until flavors mix. Put on pizza. A cheap and always on hand ingredients sauce!

Hannah, I'm right there with you with the allergies and food sensitivities. My sister has a soya sensitivity (almost allergy but as of yet no full reaction), she's also allergic to fresh tomatoes but can have them cooked. My son has a dairy intolerance, and as of yet still hasn't grown out of it. He's 13. It does get easier the longer you go on. Cooking from scratch does get easier, and bulk making things make long-term meals easier. Hannah you are keeping it together, you have 2 wonderful children that sometimes may keep you busier than you feel you can cope with but remember this stage won't last forever and you will soon be looking back on it. ❤

Today he is a man of almost 30 years old. So they do outgrown it at some point. Trust your gut if you feel that there is something wrong with your childern keep going to a docter till someone is listening to you. Most important look after your self you are a good mother dont doubt in you're self. Keep strong.

Hi Hannah, so great to see you and the things you've made, most of all the greatest thing that you made, was that handsome adorable son!! Gosh he's sitting up, crawling and trying to stand up. Wow!! I pray that Noah will be healed of his allergy issues. My son who is now 52 was colicky and cried so much it broke my heart. My milk never came in. I bought a couple milk goats and fed him their milk. It worked, no more problems. I'm just sharing what worked for me. He walked at 9 months. Both of your children are beautiful. My prayers go to her too. And of course to you. I look forward to seeing episode 153 as you are able of course. I look for you on Instagram. And enjoy the patron love letters. Take care, be well. Great to see you back Hannah ,I'm not surprised that you keep feeling like crying you are so sleep deprived, but I think you are doing brilliant considering all you are going through, your baby is gorgeous love his laugh, an he's such a handsome little guy. Nova has always been a lovely girl too ,these no marks that make comments ,they really know how to hurt ,if they can't hurt you they go via your kids ,an when they hurt you there happy job done ,its so cruel ,just know its nothing about you or your children that's a problem they are the ones with the problem, the bible says pray for your enemies ,thats really hard sometimes. I too have allergies also fibromyalgia, I say to my husband I don't so much shop as read label's, but your doing all the right things an the good news is he could grow out of his allergies, I can't have dairy, nuts, gluten, oats, chocolate, (gives terrible migrain)that was the thing I missed the most ! But I prefare to stay well so I live without it now ,I also have chronic Rhinitis and eating even bits of wrong stuff can make that flare,so I understand how hard allergies can be trying to go out for a meal for me is a nightmare ,your choice of foods can be very limited ,I hope Noah does get a sleep pattern, when you can have a night's sleep you won't know yourself, it will all pass soon ,take care sending love 😘 an hugs 🤗, be praying for you too xxx

Ugh yes.. that is a hard time. My daughter had/has peanut allergy (anaphylactic) and was allergic to bananas when she was around Noah’s age. She did outgrow the banana thing fairly quickly and with the peanut thing we started doing oral immuno therapy for peanuts with an allergist. It’s supposed to either build up their threshold to their allergen and/or help them outgrow it. It is quite scary to start but it has made a world of difference in our allergy life. Our allergist said it’s best to start before age 5 as it seems more effective. It might be something to look into if his soy sensitivity doesn’t go away. But 100% only do it through a real allergist specialist dr. But other wise I don’t know.. you just do it and keep going.. I know that’s not easy or maybe even comforting but it’s just what is. You will make it through eventually. And I promise the next phase will have different curve balls 😅

A couple of things with food allergies and sensitivities with babies, in time it gets much easier. And when you aren't breast feeding any longer, you won't have to watch it for yourself. They also often outgrow it. My son had dairy and egg. It was hard at first, but he did outgrow them all by the time he was 8. Often they outgrow them much earlier. I also found having answers was huge. Hang in there! I felt it most helpful to start with basic foods, and you often have to make your own broths and all the things. If you think you would want to try formula, check with your insurance company, they will often cover special formulas due to allergies and sensitivities. A couple of other things, too. I know you often make long vlogs, and we love them. But if you feel the desire and miss the community, why not try shorter vlogs of just 10-15 minutes? So many KZbinrs do that. Life will settle down in time. You will have more time. I do promise you that. The allergy issue gets easier. It will get so easy it feels normal, I promise. You learn to cook more at home, and it even caused me to eat healthier. Be gentle on yourself and reach out to some groups of allergy moms, on Facebook, etc. It's very helpful. There are also a TON of recipes for different food allergies. Take it one day at a time. The early days are hard, yes. But it does get easier.

Thank you so much for sharing about your son and his allergies and your experience! It does make me feel less overwhelmed and I know so many parents have experienced this. ❤️❤️

You are doing amazingly well. It will get easier. Are you having a nap during the day when the baby is asleep?

I would love to be able to do that (it would help a lot of things actually) but Nova does not nap anymore so I can't nap either unfortunately. She can't be unsupervised 😅

So happy to see you back! I'm sorry Noah is having such a hard time with his stomach, I hope you get more time to touch yarn soon. I just wondered what your thoughts are on JKs current stance on a certain part of the LGBTQ+ community as you're still wearing HP shirts.

I have been touching yarn slightly more these days, which still isn't much but feels hopeful! Harry Potter will always be a huge part of my life, not just because of the books and movies and what it has meant to me, but also because I have a giant dementor tattooed on my right leg. It's there and it will always be there. JK has the right to think whatever she wants, but she has certainly caused a lot of harm with her views and how she has put them out into the world. 😕 I'm in an odd space with it, honestly, because I have a church full of queer people that are like family to me. A few of them do not engage with Harry Potter anymore, but most of them do (read the books, watch the movies, wear HP clothing, visit HP world in Orlando). The internet is full of all or nothing thinking, and I find that it's not very much like real life. In real life, everyone has a different experience and - at least in my experience - is willing to share and chat in a non-judgmental way. Pretty much every millennial I know has a different story about how HP has affected their life. It was fundamental to a generation of people. JK, despite her really harmful views, can't change how it's shaped us. Some choose not to engage anymore, and I completely respect and support that. Some still do, and I support that too. So - that's a really long answer to say - yes, I still wear HP shirts. I don't know if that answers your question satisfactorily, but hopefully you know where I'm coming from now.

The best you can do is get rid of all processed foods and all seed oils which includes soybean oil.

We have definitely cut out anything with soybean oil. It's not possible for me to cut out every processed food as sometimes that's the only way dinner gets on the table, but we're trying.

Could Nova have sinus and/or allergies? With the normal ears, the itchy mouth and the red throat that's what it makes me think of.
