I grew up in the 80’s and Lisa Frank was very popular and an obsession of mine 💖 My favorite summer patterns are blankets. I know that’s weird, but I like to have them ready for when the weather gets cold. Plus this year there are several weddings and babies at the end of the year for our family.

My oldest daughter has very sensitive skin. She found Lume over a year ago and uses nothing else now. They have body wash, bar soap, deodorant and some other items. And yes, it does work for 72 hours. She tested it out when she first got it. LOL. She's tried most of the products and loves them. They are expensive but they last a long time.

I had no idea they had other stuff other than deodorant! That is awesome! I do think it will last a long time - I’ve had to start training myself not to use a billion swipes of deodorant like I did before because with lume it’s not necessary

I love seeing your "patchwork corner-to-corner" blanket coming along. It's so pretty. I use Lume and my husband uses Mando and we love them too!! They work amazing for the hot weather here in Southeast TX. I usually crochet commission work for the summer and anything I can make with cotton and cotton blend yarns.

Lisa Frank was a little before my time but as soon as I found out about her stuff I was Obsessed. I remember swim lessons that were at the outside pool at the Y and it kept making thunder and lightning at 5:30 pm canceling the lessons! But he did learn to swim and easily passes the college swim test. Otherwise he would need to enroll in classes.

Irish soda bread requires Kerry Gold Irish butter (or Amish butter). Makes all the difference taste-wise. It's also good for sopping up stew liquids.

Hi Hannah - What a great podcast! Thanks so much for thr podcast recommendations. Lisa Frank merch is so cute & colorful - my daughter was so into Lisa Frank - we had stickers all over the house 😊 All your makes are amazing - love the join as you go blanket, the colors just go so well. When I grow up I want to make socks like you 😊 The Saki silk yarn is gorgeous, those colors are calling me, I love the darker hues. I'll have to ckeck out the Ravelry shenanigans. My favorite summer makes vary - last summer I made a mesh top to go over a camisole (love it). This summer I'm making a Berroco Cresida shawl with linen yarn at my local yarn store as a crochet along(fun!). I also love making coasters & cotton cleaning cloths as quick summer makes. 😊

Oh, I have missed “watching” podcasts. I forgot about CC. Turned them on & was actually able to watch. Yay! I have a few things I make during the summer. Socks are usually my go to. Unfortunately my sock mojo is trying to go away. 😢 I’m back at making dishcloths for Christmas. That’s a nice portable make. I’m also making a blanket in sections. It will get sewn together in October. Cowls & mitts are also something I seem to be making a lot. Right now I’m working on my birthday sweater. Hopefully I will have it finished in a month. 🤞

I am currently working on a blanket that will look like an older Nintendo controller. Both of my daughters are gamers. They love it. 400 three row squares. I have been working on this for three years. I should have it done by the time they are 45. They are now 41 and 42. The designer is Nadia Fuad from Yarnutopia. She has great designs.

I love making dishcloths during the summer as it is too hot to have something big in my lap as I like to be outside on the porch. I am trying to learn to knit socks this summer as well. My daughter loves the Mom’s on Call books which are written by pediatric nurses. I think there are books that cover toddler years.

You can do it! Knit socks are awesome. Remember, it’s just yarn. You can always frog it and rip it out and try again. I always recommend starting with a DK or worsted sock so you can see what you’re doing better. And be prepared to make a sacrificial sock that doesn’t get worn 😂but then you’ll get it and you’ll be off to the races!

I have a stack of drawstring bags (knitted) that just need the drawstrings put in the be finished. I love knitting bags because you can use just about any yarn. My mom's loves fresh water pearls. I remember taking swimming lessons when I was little. To help with the late night after swim lessons, my I suggest you gave a snack ready for her to eat on the ride home?

I normally make just Chrismas gifts, But with that said, I am making myself a shawl for the Spring and Summer. I also make amigurumi gifs for my daughter's Summer birhday. I have some tank tops to make when I get closer to my goal weight. I am sure I a catching up too late, but wanted to answer anyway. Some self massage on your arm can help loosen the tight muscles that are helping to entrap your nerves.
