Hello! When I was a teenager my mom volunteered me to watch the 6 children of a friend for a few hours every Tuesday for a summer. At the time, I did it to get out of my house and because I enjoyed children. Looking back I can see how that mother probably needed those few hours alone every week. Hopefully, someone you trust in your life will offer to give you a few hours of alone time. Then you can use that time to get things done or just give yourself a little recharge.

Im with you and the resenting when i am told what to do. Especially by myself. Resolutions are just a set up for anger or failure. (For me) for 2025, i just desperately want peace. And health would be nice. I hope you find joy and peace too.

I have depression (I've been dealing with it since age 13 and I'm 36 now) every day so crocheting helps a lot so I can't imagine not to be able to crochet so I feel you hung in there girl

I no longer do resolutions…. They added another box to tick, thing to do stress. Intentions were better….. but now I choose a word. It helps me focus, and can change/ evolve over the year. Last year my word was Finish… year before was Light. This year I chose Balance. Also, kids…. Hardest and most important job a human can undertake. I have 4, (one who had severe allergies!) and have successfully launched them into the world….. they are having their own children now….. honestly, grandchildren are AWESOME. I should have just started with them…😂 I injured my shoulder at the beginning of December, and have not been able to do ANY knitting, crochet, sewing….. for 6 weeks. Good news is: it’s getting better, slowly, and I’ve realized I need to have more balance in my life…. Thus my word for this year. I hope you have a less stressful 2025, and can find more joy and time to do the things you love.

I don't make resolutions. I don't need to set myself up for failure. Nothing is written in stone. I do think about what changes I want to make to my home in 2025. for my knitting / crochet part of my life. I'm choosing one word : revisit. I want to revisit garment patterns I purchased, started, and frogged.

Happy new Year - again! I loved your Vlogmas so much and this New Year's Eve Episode was just like a special gift to finish it off. I usually start the year with some little (not too overwhelming) resolutions mostly living a bit healthier which is just necessary after eating chocolate and drinking white wine like a mad-woman in December 😅I wish you all the best for 2025 - may it be a kinder year for all of us!

I understand your pain. I had to do no knitting or crocheting for 8 weeks at the beginning on summer. NONE. My wrist did get healed from the complete rest. I’d had a similar issue on my other wrist which resulted in surgery. This time complete rest helped.

Happy New Year, Hannah! First, I have to tell you - I am the same Melissa, MadNinjaHooker. Super cool that my name randomly popped up twice, but the Ravelry/Insta prize should go to someone else. ◡̈ I am not a resolution person, either. In fact, I always say "New year, same Me". I do, however, make yearly plans for my crafting. 2024 was the year of the sock for me - I had a goal to knit as many socks as I could and learn as much as I could from that plan. I ended up knitting 18 pairs of socks and learned SO much wrt sock knitting and knitting in general. This year is going to be the year of the garment - I plan to make as many garments (crocheted and knitted) as possible to expand my handmade wardrobe and learn as much as I can about garment making. Looking forward to more mal's this year!

You’re just doubly lucky 😂 I can't wait to see what kind of garments you'll make this year! 18 pairs of socks is AMAZING! I did a year of socks once and got through quite a few and it was so much fun.
