At 61 I learn something every day, from older and younger. Never give up. By the way, before I bought a Trans jack I made my own out of scrap metal and mated it to a floor jack.

If you haven’t done the ball bearing mod to the pedal assembly I would definitely recommend it. Mustang Steve sells an awesome kit. Fun afternoon welding project and it really makes the clutch feel nicer. Especially if you replace the z-bar rods with a heim joint based linkage. Makes the whole clutch assembly feel 100 lol

we use brightener0 at my work, its meant solely for aluminum but it eats away at dirt too but if your aluminum isn't coated in any sort of protective layer the brightener will burn the aluminum very fast and leave black marks everywhere, the only way to get rid of those is with more brightener, don't let it dire, don't inhale, don't drink, treat it like acid because that's what it is but if you were to fail any of that don't be afraid its nothing too strong... just don't drink it you'll die very very fast lol

With a light flywheel you might want to upgrade to stiffer valve springs and pushrods as you might end up with valve float with how much more it'll want to rev.

Shifting is a hell of a lot better, and easier with 100% less effort, huh Craig? Something I was asking myself about whydoes Craig remind me of stabbing gears yet going nowhere fast? The plastic shifter bushing replacement with a brass one seems to answer the question for me. You're enjoying a thrash in the truck a hell of a lot more without being exhausted on the way home afterwards, Craig? Answers point to yes, I think I would be be moving out of the house and into the truck too as far as the, "I spend so much time in the truck, I might as well figure a way how to sleep in it!" thing. Good Job, Craig!

Granted Craig it will have more power just for the fact that it takes less to turn less... that said, and not negatively is that mass equals more torque as laws of nature prevail. It sounds crisp and very responsive but the exhaust so close to the cabin is a bit harder to hear a radio, or loose bolts a jingling around.... just saying cause of how much you love your rigs. I think that you nailed what you were shooting for!!

I love the aluminum flywheels, I have one on my 347 stroker in my 79 pinto and I had one in a fox l used to have that i converted to a 5.0 from the wimpy 4 banger, but you can most definitely tell that the aluminium flywheel is in it after you use the fat heavy cast iron one because it revs quicker and accelerates faster as well, next get a aluminum driveshaft and you will free up more power between the two that compliment each other really well, I hope that I can finish up my pinto this weekend so I can drive it for the first time but I totally dig your truck, its come a long way since you first started on it and it is badass . I love the idle it sounds sick , do you know the cam specs on it? If you read this long message 🤣 let me know what they are but ill probably just get the heart like always because nobody really reads the long ones 😂🤣

the biggest mistake i find on rigs is people not putting in all the bolt back in i find so many rigs missing a lot of bolts and there is a reason for every bolt in a rig they don't put extra bolts on rigs . i have a friend that is really good at building and fixing rigs just he will leave bolts out , he tells me they are extra bolts that u don't need . then i ask is that y ur rigs drive sideways but he knows it drives me nuts . i have to have every bolt in the rig from the factory . like my 68 chevy it has been sitting for 3 weeks just for bolts i finally found the factory bolts for it . another thing i do is clean the threads on all , use a tap set on everything that way if it is torqued it will torque correctly.
