Re blogging - I hate the new thing where bloggers have stopped blogging and start forcing readers to listen to podcasts. I am not saying not to podcast. I am saying give me both! I rarely have 1 hr to listen to a podcast, but I often have 1 to 5 min to read through a blog post.

I include transcripts of my show, so you can always just read that as a blog post :) www.thecreativepenn.com/podcast

I'm a research librarian and historian, so I'm with you about how important it is for my writing. Honestly, I think my love of history and research is why I write. It's my way to share what I've learned with others.

I had your books already, but there were so many books in the bundle that had been on my wishlist all year, so it was a bit of an early Christmas treat, plus grabbed the bonus course.

wonder if you saw the otters along the Thames Path - saw two around Wolvercote...Obviously, Murakami does every other marathon, which I think JP should take on, so I don't have to

Hi Joanna, I tried to purchase the Nano Story Bundle but their web page fails to redirect me to my PayPal account. I wonder if you may have time to let them know. Thanks.

I asked Jason at Storybundle - he said you can email support@storybundle.com It’s likely a problem with the browser, so if you switch browsers it should work fine.

Great podcast guys!!! I totally relate to it!!! Omg so I tend to write the book in my head as I like to write myself to sleep and then once I am done if I think the story is good as most of the time it is just a small oneshots but anyway then I outline it and I already know most of it but the outline fixes all my plot holes and order so I am a pantser and a planner!!!

Why are people always talking up George R. R. Martin? I think he's terrible!

there's no secret to filling the creative well. You read a lot. Many writers appear to ignore the reading bit, which means sifting out the nonsense they write

I do read a lot, several hours every day - but for me, filling the creative well also means experiencing the world - and traveling! Hopefully I can get back to that soon!
