Watching Ed's videos is how I figured out my horse was in spinal and pelvic pain that was left over from a leg injury after catching a fence rail. I found a reputable equine chiropractor ASAP. 2 treatments later my mare's raging attitude problem was non existent. She is back to her sweet ol' self.

That horse has poor conformation of his hind legs; he's so cow-hocked, he's bound to have problems. Whoever bred him wasn't selective enough. By the way, the rider is definitely not too heavy for him. Perhaps a English saddle would be better too.
@mdee8604 жыл бұрын
D She - If you noticed, as (human) Ed started the adjustments the horse stood with back legs in alignment, the kicking stopped & the licking started. All good signs. Many animals will splay hind legs for stability when there is pain or nerve damage. Those cause instability, hence the splaying of rear legs to feel more stable/secure.

Usually pain like that is due to a improper saddle not fitting the HORSES back correct you6r5 not suppose to stick any saddle on your horse because every horse is different so a custom made saddle and blanket with the right bridle or hackamore and no dame tie down then your horse won't be like this
@pasovasz5 жыл бұрын
Even a custom made saddle can be the wrong choice. As the horse and rider change shape over time, the saddle may not fit. The woman is a good horse person since she noticed a change and looked for help with her horse. Luckily, she found Ed.

If he was really a chiropractor, wouldn’t he have a doctorate and be called “doctor”. This sounds suspicious. What kind of education does he have because there should be more out there doing this kind of work if proven to be a reliable and well studied occupation. I am all for helping animals in pain whether it be meds, manipulation, or acupuncture etc. As long as no harm comes from it. I do have major problems with understanding his treatment though. As far as I know, you can’t take a hammer and adjust a vertebra. Look at the anatomy of the spinal cord and the bony structure around it. Facets interlock all the vertebrae in place so that the spine CAN’T be moved around and lose its protective stability. Bones break but don’t move UNLESS you manipulate the muscles. Somebody please tell me if this is hocus-pocus and what his credentials are. One thing is foe certain though. This gentleman is bringing light to a VERY important and overlooked option in the differential diagnosis of a “problem horse” Thank you for that!
@john-dt6bq5 жыл бұрын
kk doc this guy is a fraud. A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing! Every horse he looks at has the same issue. The pole and the pelvis. He’s an ignorant as they come
@seasands96445 жыл бұрын
kk doc No hocus pocus!!!🌹 My horse had chiropractic treatment in the 90's. There are many equine chiropractors. They mostly work the race track and sport horse barns. Dressage, Eventing, Hunter Jumpers, etc. Any horse can injure itself even just playing in the field. There are equine massage therapists as well.
@kkdoc78645 жыл бұрын
Sea Sands I’m sure there are an abundance of these individuals who claim to be specialists who sound believable. People will believe what they want to believe, and that’s why pet psychics can even make a living. All I can say is that this guy cannot change the fixed spine with a hammer. Crazy.
kk doc That would be similar to the activator chiropractic uses on people. Any psychic is hocus pocus in my opinion. Not chiropractors or massage therapists. Sorry. I have proof. You don't have to believe it.

Jack of all trades! A painter a carpenter now I think I’ll call myself a chiropractor? I’ve had chiropractors work on my horses and it’s a lot more physical than what this guy does with a frighten rubber mallet and a paint roller! Most of these positive comments are from people that just need to belong to something horse related! I don’t want to be hating on this guy but this is bullshit! Notice he doesn’t speak to where the horse is hurting other than here and here and here? No explanation of the mechanics. Doesn’t even know the anatomy of the horse!
@edcrothers20815 жыл бұрын
I see that you don't pay attention to what you're looking at I break over three to four hundred horses a year and train and fix gobs of horses that eventually would go to The Killers if it wasn't I fix the pain and analyze for you to say the things that you have just said just lets me know how much you don't know and the whole purpose of this is for me to show people on how to make these horses not have to work in pain in the thing of it is I am giving this away and you want to take the time out to beat me up with your ignorance is very disappointing the thing of it is these horses are fixed. Horse went back home and all this pain issues was better he had to get into vet and look at some other pain issues when you go to a human car practor they use all kind of tools some use this time don't some of this some of that for you to judge me when you have
@john-dt6bq5 жыл бұрын
Ed Crothers Hey man, I’m not judging you. I watched your video because I’m interested. I’ve been around horses my whole life. I have two of my own. I’ve witnessed many vet calls and chiropractors and I just don’t see that you follow any kind of protocol. No walking trotting for a visual to actually see the horses way of going before you asses what the problem is. When you adjusted the horses pelvis the horse wasn’t standing square before you used your mallet technique. He was resting on one hind leg which would make it impossible to align the sacrum. It doesn’t matter how many horses you see. The ones I’m seeing you work on are missing the Benefit! Clearly this horse has a sore back most likely from an ill fitting saddle. Another thing you didn’t mention being the most obvious first. All I hear and see is you making assumptions of what you think is wrong with no diagnostics. If you work with so many horses how is it that you don’t even know how to properly lunge a horse? You stand in front of the driveline and shake the rope at the horse because he doesn’t move out confusing him! If you’re going to claim to be what you say. There needs to be a lot more horse savvy going on for me to respect what your doing. Listen man, I don’t wanna beat up on you! I’m sorry if I insulted you but I know what I’m seeing here. I would bet that 99% of your business is first time horse owners and novice riders! It takes a lot more than tapping a rubber mallet to adjust a horse! There will always be an ignorant audience that thinks you are doing wonderful things! I’m just pointing out what’s missing!

It is actually somewhat painful on the horses back even when non-overweight people ride them. It can really bother them when they have to trot, gallup, jump or just for a long ride. They weren't made to carry people on their backs. It's cruel to make them jump and long endurance bs races. Forcing them to jump things that are dangerous and terrified of.
