I just call my pattern loose curls or wavy curls. It is also good to know your hair density, high density if you can hardly see your scalp, low density if your scalp shows a lot. Another factor is the thickness of your hair strands from fine hair to coarse. I have medium density and thick strands (some smooth, some coarse).

I just purchased barrettes from France Luxe for the one twist updo but my curls don't fit! Any tips? Or are you using an "extra volume" barrette? That look is beautiful and I'd love to try ❤
@TheCurlStory3 жыл бұрын
Oh no! I use a regular volume barrette, but I do have medium density, medium thickness. Here are some options to try to make it work: - Spray some water on your hair to try to reduce the volume before clipping. - try to just clip up closer to the ends of your hair (where it might be thinner). Then secure the middle of the twist up with Bobby pins tucked horizontally or vertically into the twist to keep it place. Let me know if that works! 🤞🏼

Where are your big clips from??

The black alligator clips that I use to hold my hair during styling are from Walmart. The shiny black volume barrette in this video is from FranceLuxe.com. ♥️

Do you part your hair?
@TheCurlStory3 жыл бұрын
Great Question! I part my hair some wash days, but not always. Then, that part will stay in until next wash day. Most of these hairstyles can be done with your hair parted already too!

Thank you! Do you part on the side? I tried the Thursday style one yesterday but I have a lot of baby hair on the top, what do you suggest using?

I have a lot of baby hairs too! Which is why I don’t bother brushing my hair smooth for any of these looks. I do like to apply some hair spray and lightly rake it in. Check out my other Office Updos video - at the end I show how I apply hair spray for a finishing touch. I hope this helps!

Uhh, i have curly hair and i am tired of using products for it, bobby pins, clips, elastics etc and to always, tiresely tie my hair so i don't look like i just came out of a cave or a jungle. I hate curly hair and i wish I was born with either wavy or straight hair so i could leave it lose every day and worry about more important things!

Ah, I feel your pain. I wish our hair would never cause us grief. Most of life, my routine was flat ironing my hair and it worked out just fine for the most part. It was a simple routine… Sunday night wash, leave-in conditioner, wrap in a towel, sleep on damp hair. Following Morning: flat iron straight or wavy with a heat protectant product Next morning: finger comb, maybe dry shampoo, etc Repeat every 3-4 days. Deep condition when needed. Caution: Not all hair types can tolerate this amount of heat, however. I hope this helps ♥️ …my routine only changed when my little curly daughter saw me doing this and asked if straight hair was prettier.💔

I love the look of curly hair being worn loose and not tied up. I wore my hair in a pony tail almost every day if my life, until I was 18, because I thought my curly hair looked wild and untamed. No I embrace it.
