Emphasis on CLAIMS to be black owned because I can’t find ANY information on the founder/owner and they deleted my comment when I inquired about it. MOST black owned businesses (ESPECIALLY in the realm of hair) are super duper proud to show that they are black owned. Seems very suspect.

I agree, the Chinese companies lie with alot of their marketing claims. I don’t think they have the same false advertising laws that we do.

Thank you!!! I was thinking the same thing to, i have no problem in the past getting stuff from china but the fact that they are lying that they are black owned and how they are treating black people in china right now is a mess i wish i looked them up more before buying the brush. I do like the brush but i'm sick of company's getting the black dollar and not respecting us as humans.

Why not just purchase from companies that have quality products and good prices? Who cares what the colour of the skin of the owners and employees is?
@Loveamandapatrice
@Loveamandapatrice 3 жыл бұрын
@@judethaddeus9856 we literally do this every single day with every day items and food as a normal practice. So, what are you talking about? If a company is claiming to be black owned to gain black dollars and they’re not, that’s unethical and is taking money away black businesses(which aren’t as prevalent in everyday items and food that we blindly purchase without second thought EVERY SINGLE DAY). Also, no one is stopping you from buying from whoever you want to.

@@judethaddeus9856 In an ideal world that would work but we don't live in an ideal world. Black businesses need black people to support them as well as white people. Black owned businesses because they are black owned some racist people will go out of their way to avoid their business even if the product they have benefits them or is a general product for society as a whole. Black businesses shouldn't have to even be advertised as a black owned business or even worry when going into business but there are people that will try to sabotage it by avoiding it and therefore black businesses worry about making enough money for it to be sustainable but still brave enough to go for it. White people don't have these worries or real problems. Is why the gorgeous Ellen DeGeneres makes it a big thing to promote black businesses because she is "woke"!! You can't ignorantly just go through life and flippantly say "why not just buy from any business irrespective of colour" without perhaps trying to understand why is it this way. White businesses are the mainstream and have and will always have a multiracial customer base cos people don't purposely avoid shopping cos 99% of business are white. Now black entrepreneurs have many great ideas and the shopping experience should be the same for them - don't you agree? It's because the world we live in are with monsters happily living their in lives in denial and entitledness thinking the world belongs to them. They are happy for black businesses making their businesses sustainable but not happy to reciprocate for black business and want failure them. When they experience hardship, austerity, problems they will shout loud about it and go to church thinking they are a good citizen and expect empathy from others but when black businesses experience the same problems as them, austerity and lack of sustainability due to lack of customers and they've contributed also, well they feel no empathy whatsoever - monsters living happily in denial. UNDERSTAND cos ignorance is no excuse but part of the problem - white or black!!

I’m here because I’m looking around for others opinions of the brush as I got mine yesterday, i didn’t get on very well with it but likely because my hair is so long and damaged from years of hair dye. But I just need to tell you how much I adore your hair! Gorgeous! I have Caucasian hair but oh my, I get such natural hair jealousy lol! I imagine it’s harder to maintain but the finished natural look is second to none 😍 I wash my hair once a fortnight because my hair seems happier that way (I used to wash it everyday years ago, transitioning to less washes was a little greasy and awkward for a short while but it’s settled really well to the frequency now). I get root tangles a little, I never considered finger detangling first, my hair isn’t 4 type but I’m inspired to give that a try. Thanks for the tips and the awesome video, keep rocking that gorgeous hair girl!

Idk I’m kinda torn when it comes to this video. The EZ brush seemed like it glided through your hair better than the FL brush. Now you did get more shedding with the EZ but not excessive so that could be for other reasons such as lifestyle etc. but based off of THIS video I’d have to go with the EZ brush.

I have an EZ Detangler bought from their US site (green and a blue) and it is very flexible and I have an old school thick & Curly TangleTeazer (red) also flexible. I like them both but use does depend on what I use as slip in my hair. The new TT are not as flexible and smooth in the teeth so cause splits and breakage. I’m happy to support products that work and if EZ isn’t black owned, which I thought they were from their newsletters, it hasn’t put me off them. TT is is owned and created by a white English bloke. 😁

@Life.Love.Locs.
@Life.Love.Locs. 4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did that on purpose because I have two separate videos on each brush where I used a product with a lot more slip with each one. I know what they both can do with a lot of slip, but what can they do with less slip? I needed to create more of a challenge to see how they both perform. Otherwise they will both easily slip through the hair and there is no difference in performance and therefore no comparison to be made.

The EZ Detangler brush has instructions, I have watched so many Utubers incorrectly use this brush. Vertical then horizontal, use the small piece that comes in the packet...the handle has small holes for this piece depending on the thickness of your hair. There are a few people who have used correct, Utube research. Hope this helps
@Life.Love.Locs.
@Life.Love.Locs. 4 жыл бұрын
You assume that I didn't read the instructions - I did. The website states that vertical is for getting the toughest knots out, horizontal is for easy detangling. My hair is usually more tangled at the roots, hence why I used it horizontally for the main part of my hair, and vertically in the roots. That's what works for me. There is no point using a brush in a specific way if that way doesn't work for you or your hair - your hair's health is more important than a set of instructions. Also, the additional piece is OPTIONAL. There is no rule that says you have to use it. That is why it can be detached from the brush entirely. Furthermore - the purpose of a review is to try a product out in different ways for the benefit of the viewer. There is nothing wrong with trying something out in a different way. There is no "one correct way" to brush hair, as long as you are not causing breakage to your hair then you're fine. So, would you mind not policing the way I or others use a brush please? Thanks.

Hi. Find the WIDEST TOOTH comb you can. I use OGX Combing Cream (it smells divine) or Cantu detangler for Kids. The OXG seems to better absorb in my hair and not coat, feel as sticky, or flake. If I am extra dry/tangled...I warm up a little oil....rub it into hair and scalp...put a shower cap or plastic bag on for a half hour or more and then wash....it really helps and much less pain.

I read the instructions thoroughly and in the end, I did use it exactly as the instructions say to use it - please check their website for full instructions. I also tried it out multiple ways for review purposes - trying a product only one way doesn't make for a through review and doesn't help to inform the viewers well. The Felicia Leatherwood Brush is BLACK OWNED, the other brand comes from China & claims to be Black Owned which is an insult to Black Owner of a product they worked so hard to put on the market !!!

@Aquarian Goddess Getting resources that's manufactured in China & putting your brand on it doesn't not make it black owned. I got stainless steel straws from China that I sell for my business & I'm a black woman therefore my product is from a black owned business lol

You bought the knock-off and not the actual branded product. As a result, it is unfair to use the name of a branded product that you have never used. Simply because they "look" alike does not mean they are the same. The EZ branded brush may not be as flexible as the knock-off you purchased. It could be a minor change, an unnoticeable change in the size of the bristles. These slight changes could make a world of difference. If you want to use the brand name, then use the brand product.

They don't just look alike. They are identical. I looked *very* closely before I made my video - I wouldn't do all this if I didn't do my research first.

Why do you keep calling this the EZ brush when it doesn’t say that anywhere on the brush???? You are bashing a company that you haven’t even purchased from. This is really wild to me that nobody has said anything to you about this. Especially. When EZ has an Instagram page that you can FACT CHECK. You have a KNOCK OFF BRUSH

When you have one trademarked product and then you have a cheap copy made by another company - that is a knockoff. When you have two identical products, neither one is a knockoff. One may be branded, one may not be. But they are 100% identical. Both come from China in the exact same packaging. If you don't believe me, watch the other EZ detangler brush reviews on KZbin, look at the packaging and the brushes. I did my research before I put this video out and I stand by what I said.

For me, neither of them hurt, but if you want one that pulls less on your hair, I'd go with the EZ detangler as it has more flexibility. 😊

I feel like maybe you should get the actual the name brand ez brush and review it because your getting cheaper copy of the brush and expecting it to work as good as the ad then your putting the ez brush logo on your Chanel and it’s not even from the actual ez brush company I have an ez brush from the actual brand and it’s works for me i don’t know about other girls who actual order the real one and used it but it works amazingly for me much love tho 🥰

Hey hun, it's not a cheaper copy of the brush. It is the EXACT same brush with an added logo. (See the other comments below and also check out all of the other reviews on KZbin). It moves exactly the same as the others, comes in the same packaging with the same bad English, everything - there is no difference, and this is why I did a close-up of the brush. Everybody's experience of the same brush is not the same, as great as a brush may be.
