Would love to see more on this topic. Your perspective is so fascinating. In depth on each area and how you accepted yourself as well as recognised the growth and where growth was needed. I’ve been watching Kristobel on Tik Tok and I find that illuminating as well - it’s an interesting topic for anyone as it’s about personal growth as opposed to scheduled milestones. Big love! Xxx

Hi Lynette! I'm glad you appreciate the perspective, it's not easy opening up this topic as it's a little sensitive for me but I hope to build a community and help others. Friends such as yourself have been instrumental in changes that I've made! I definitely plan to go into more depth in future videos. I've been seeing some of Kristabel's posts too, I'm so glad we are talking about this more. 💗

Comparing my life to other people lives around me, others getting married , while I had a failed engagement due to my ex-fiancé being a complete asshole towards me, other women having babies/pregnancies and I’m going to be 30 in three months and never made it far enough with a guy to get pregnant, just a lot of things

Sis... firstly, I want to commend you. I understand it hurts (I sort of had a failed engagement myself - long story) but you have recognised your ex-fiancé's behaviour was unacceptable and ended it. You set a standard for how you'd like to be treated and you stuck to your guns. That's NOT easy! Imagine being married to someone like that - you recognised what was happening and moved to protect yourself. A lot of people ignore those signs but you didn't. Kudos to you! (Despite the difficulty and pain of it all)

I understand the comparison, and I won't say "Don't compare yourself" because we all do it. If you don't mind, I'd like to encourage you to go easy on yourself. As Black women, we hold ourselves to extremely high standards and are so hard on ourselves. Give yourself grace, you are moving forward at your own pace. That pace can feel slow, but as long as you're moving forward in any area (be that relationships, career, just life in general) then you'll be ok.
