For me, it's not that I want anyone to disappear at any age. I want more of this. I love when I see people that are older defying stereotypes. Toni Basil breakdancing in her 70s, or Ernestine Shepard bodybuilding in her 80s... That type of stuff really makes me happy when I see it. I don't see too many 50 + year olds rock as hard as they do. It's weird because I used to be a huge wrestling fan, so I'm used to seeing wrestlers get older and still be tossed around and doing things that are atypical for their age group. But when it comes to stage performers I'm always surprised when they have this much raw energy after a certain age. Many mellow out or lose that spark. I mean, I don't even think Courtney Love gets down like this anymore. I mean some still have it. Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Vinnie Dombroski can still put younger artists to shame. But I don't see many doing it like Kat Bjelland. So, I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see performers of a certain age really giving it their all.
