Ok guys I'll give you the spoiler alert. I think we are gonna explain it in a future video, but here it goes. On a very hot summer day in the old shop, we got swarmed by horse Flys. By the end of the day I was welted up and tired of getting bit. Just so happens that I was cleaning some parts with brake cleaner and had a torch handy. Well one of these little pesky jokers landed on the leg of kevins old desk( his desk was a old kitchen table). So what did I do? I grabbed the torch and blasted the fly with a flame thrower!! Unfortunately, I did not look to see that Kevin was seated at his desk...... needless to say, I burned all the hair off of one of his legs 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Kevin, Yes i came here because of Cletus. But I remember the first time I saw you on his channel. I think it was the golf cart battle. You started talking tech and fab talk way above Cletus. I think you mentioned the axle and the cnc and how you saved the file so you can just make another any time. I was like "thats my type of guy". I am about your age I think and your fab skills and knowledge are top notch. The time it takes to do things to the level of detail you do most people cant fathom. On that seat belt tab. You welded to the roll cage and brazed to the cab. I wouldn't have thought to do that. I would have just welded to the cab but it makes perfect sense as the 2 are going to be moving differently and the bronze will allow more flex than a weld and stop work hardening of the sheet metal around the weld which could then crack. Top notch work. Thank you for explaining all you do. And keep taking care of your kids. I cant imagine how hard it would be to be a single Dad. Keep them the priority like it seems you are. They need your time more than us on youtube do.. God bless

@@KSRPerformanceFabrication Phillips makes gold coated lenses that offer very good visibility over the green auto dark lenses, I have not tried to film through them but I use one in my hood at work and I like it a lot I can see what I am doing quite a bit better with a glass #10 over a regular green auto dark. Phillips also makes some high quality cobalt lenses, the 2" x 4.25" lenses are about $20 each so not prohibitively expensive to experiment. I would also make a box from the shaded lens to the camera body to keep the light from reflecting off of the camera body to the back of the lens, probably black on the inside, at least that is where i would start haha

Recognizing not all (few in fact) shops have the skills levels you have shared with us, at least they will strive to be better. People demanding a higher quality work will pressure shops to pick up their game. Very likely there are many out there but they've not been asked to show it in their work. Thank YOU partner!
