Hey guys I have a question: when you record musicians and then use these recordings in your packs or beats, how do you aquire rights to it? Does is become yours once you’ve recorded it? Augenss they sign a contract saying that they’re basically hired guns. Likely the rates are much higher than for music session work because they wouldn’t get any royalties. Cymatics is purchasing the entirety of the rights.

It's called a "work for hire" so if you were to hire a musician and they come to record, you pay them for their work and you own the recordings. It's fairly common but it's also why some session musicians will charge as much as $100/hour for their work.

Most of the times, listening to a track (or watching a movie) provides you an idea how it works, and you get all the relevant "infomations" but you get to analyze the track, or movie, by listening/watching it a second time, maybe a third and so on. Then you will be able to get all the small things that actually "make the big elements shine" 🔥
