My father was a holocaust survivor . He was taken at 14 , and went through the living hell for two years , then , after escaping , another year to get to France . He had nightmares , depression and mood swings , what we now call P.T.S.D. right up until he died . Gabor Maté helped me to get over what was passed on to me . I cannot even imagine what makes a people who have gone through what so many went through , then do the very same to others . Jewish law states that we should love the stranger (Non Jew ) , so there is no religious grounds to do what has been done for 75 years .
