Liz Cheney is an extreme RW pile of excrement. She voted along with Trump's hateful agenda at least as much or more than many of the disgraced former POTUS's defenders. The fact that she drew the line at "violent insurrection", isn't something for which she should be praised, since it's the only reasonable reaction to the treason riot of J6. So as soon as my shift was up, I had to leave. If I got into OT territory I was written up. In my state the law was also very clear as who could be a manager or salaried employee and who was a wage employee. (Had a friend who was paid as a "chef" as a restaurant but this turned out to violate the law. The restaurant lost the lawsuit and ended up going bankrupt and closing as to not pay his back wages).

If appreciated and shown that in PAY which can afford you to do more at home in less time then yes give more work/help/above and beyond in return! Otherwise, only work what you have to. It takes more time to recover when personal life and finance is poor. Make more, better quality home life, better outcome at work. Vegas is easy to look at and assume the worst when it comes to water consumption... but it's actually one of the top cities at water CONSERVATION that's using Colorado River water. Their fountains use brackish water (unfit for human consumption). They've also removed ornamental grasses from medians, yards, and other worthless places. Also, even though their population has gone up, their water consumption has gone down by 28% iirc. John Oliver actually did a special on this somewhat recently and St George UT is the top consumer of Colorado River water.

Technically, if you are working, your boss needs to pay you, but like employers don't really care. And if your manager needs to deal with schedule stuff while off the premises (such as a worker calling in sick), then those managers need to be salary in such a way where they are compensated fairly for dealing with extra work BS while not at the building

I'm french so this "quiet quitting" thing is so strange to me. I sooo agree with Trevor Noah, the name itself isn't right. That's just working. It gives the impression that you accept that you could get fired for not working enough but that's just wrong. When you work, you sign a contract with your company saying what you're being paid for. When you do more than that, you're actually giving it a huge gift. I hope you get paid for overworking, and paid more than the usual since you shouldn't be working according to this contract. Otherwise, that's just plain exploitation.

Technically the passports weren’t stolen. They are US Government property that they let you hold for documentation purposes. The government can take your passport at any time as it’s their property.
@steakismeat177
@steakismeat177 2 жыл бұрын
The only way the passports were stolen is if Trump is a dual citizen and the confiscated passport was that of a foreign country. But Trump likely wouldn't be the victim. The foreign government would as they likely have the same property laws regarding passports

Well, for one, the Saudis gave Jared Kushner a few *Billion Dollars* on his recent visit there. I wonder what all was in his brief case. Remember that Trump had $420 Million in loans coming due this year and Deutche Bank won't do business with him anymore (they even fired his loan lady)! Not a stretch to think Jared's trying to "save the family".
