Trevor!! Thank you for having Brandi Carlile on the show. Your interview was great. You seemed genuinely excited to talk to her. Thank you for highlighting her being out and proud with her wife, Catherine, and their 2 little girls. Also it was wonderful that Catherine played and sang so beautifully with Brandi!! You will be so missed when you leave The Daily Show. Being able to follow Jon Stewart was a huge feat, as we all couldn’t imagine how anyone could do so. You have done it SO well and I’ve loved your show as much as Jon’s. I was happy to see you on Alex Wagner’s MSNBC show tonight and to learn that you are/will be executive producing the new documentary series on inspiring figures such as Wendy Davis in the Texas legislature when she pulled off an epic filibuster in an effort to protect civil rights. At least we know where you’ll be!!

I thought the same thing about him after Jon Stewart show. Those were going to be very big feet to fill. Trevor is just becoming a better pro at something that he was already great at...Educational Entertainment. Great back and forth in this interview showing both of their love, care and appreciation for life.

I so agree. Trevor's approach was so different from Jon's. Both are. Of course, brilliant. And that's the only way it could've worked. Thank you, Trevor, for getting us through the pandemic. It was amazing how you did that.

I am so touched by this woman, her music and lyrics (giving the Hanseroth twins their due!), her positivity, her joy, and her open arms to those who came before her and support of those rising around her. Her songs somehow invest themselves into so many parts of life. I am so pleased that now she is being recognized for her hard work and love of her craft. Please continue to be the person you are and continue to enrich our world.

A few years ago I went to Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia Maryland to see Ray Lamontagne and Brandi was the opener for the show. I'd never heard of her at that point and really thought she wasn't going to be much since I have been to concerts with openers I'd never heard of before and was disappointed with the opening band. Brandi, however, was much different than any other opening band I had seen before, she blew me away. The entire band was amazing. Her voice was amazing. She sang Johnny Cash Folsom prison blues and it was amazing. My all-time favorite song was being sung by a woman I'd never heard of before and she knocked it outta the park. Her final song of the night was another song I had never heard before until that night that song was Hallelujah. WOW is all I can say about that one. She walked off the stage and the house lights came up and I was looking around and I saw a lot of tears on the faces (mostly women) all around the pavilion. Incredibly talented artist indeed.👍

Her voice is one of a kind. Haunting, enchanting, and straight from the heart. Please listen to the audio version of her book, Broken Horses. She sings many of her hits and a few of her idols' hits throughout the book and it ends with an hour of her songs. What a treasure!

I discovered Brandi though a KZbin video of her doing The Story live when a bandmates cell phone dropped on the floor and everyone chuckled thinking that was the highlight of the performance - then her voice tore though and the crowd was screaming at the top of their lungs. Fell in love with all the music since - and as a testament to her live performance - I still have 3 songs from the Live and Benroya Hall performance in regular rotation - near perfection.

I don’t know what you like but Brandi plays a lot of different styles of music. That’s part of the reason why she doesn’t like being labeled country. One of the reviewers after seeing a recent show said to be prepared to see a rock concert (she’s hoping to get a Grammy nod for best rock performance for her SNL appearance ). Point being, check out her stuff, you might like it. 👍
